Gents,

Could you suggest a good launch ramp reasonably close to town? Need realtively deep water for an outdrive, trailer parking too.

Right at the bridge going into Beaufort from MHC, on the left.

I don't think so. Try turning right onto Lennoxville Rd. off of 70 in Beaufort. Go about 1 1/2 miles and you see the ramp on your right near the tennis courts.

It's a decent ramp, but use caution on low water ...

Very trickey! Use the one at the end od Taylors creek that Bo4747 suggested.

Let me make sure I've got this striaght. The ramp at the end of Lenoxville Rd is on Taylors Creek. It should be easy to find, right?

And it has good water--we really need 3' min, outdrive drimmed full-up? Just needing a bit of reassurance here---pretty fancy props here!

If your that worried about water depth just use the MHC ramp at the welcome center, should be plenty of parking this time of year. Whatever you do dont head towards Bardens Inlet out of the waterfront on a low tide.

This time of year those ramps are fine but in summer - forget it, you'll be so frustrated with the crowd you'll sell your boat and buy golf clubs. There's a decent public ramp right before you cross onto Harker's Island that's pretty decent, gets crowded too in summer but not as bad as the others and it's only about 10 minutes past Beaufort.
