I've heard you guys talking about that-- where is it? In relation to Little River or Ocean Isle. I have fished the Jungle with a friend of mine down that way.
Also, any fish at Yaupon or some of the wrecks that are less than 10 miles out from now through Christmas? Talking mainly bottom fish-- I'm sure the kings will be offshore by then.
That's correct, roughly nine miles out and 50- 55 feet of water, live bottom and the name 90/90 is short for 390/390. I don't have a chart handy either but you can look at sea surface temp maps at Fryingpanshoal.com and get numbers right off the screen. And zoom in and out as well to familiarize yourself with all the good bottom and AR's.~JJ~

Cool... I'm out of Lockwood or Shallotte inlet and will be down thanksgiving weekend. Will most likely stay inside looking for trout, but if it's calm I may run out some. Probably no kings that time of year, but any sea bass or anything else to be had on the bottom?
Kings might still be holding inshore, I also noticed a better bite a bit Northwest of 90/90. I might fish Tueday. I will probably fish 90/90 area then run to the jungle if its slow there. I will report what I find.~JJ~

JJ, Maybe I will see you there. I am going tuesday if I can wake up by 9am. (dont get off work till 5am) I am taking a friend who has never fished from a boat. He wants to try for spots and I want to go out to one of the AR's and bottom bounce. I hope to have the boat in the water by 10:30 or so. Darn I hate night shift!

Boatless again, looking for a 19 or 20 foot southern skimmer a few years old.
Also looking for a 69 to 73 camaro.
I am semi retired, I have rental properties at the beach that I maintain and repair off season for next season. I usually get up later than I should. But now that it gets dark early I will try to get down to my slip early in the A.M. So I can head in around 4 p.m. be at the dock by 5-5:30. I am at the beach now ( North Myrtle) doing some repairs, and I can see birds working right off the beach here. I would have gone out today but I need to finish up some repairs on this unit. I have a renter coming in this week. I will be on the water Tuesday and probably start trolling at 90/90, then decide whether to run to the Jungle. Kings might still be hanging around the beach as there seems to be lots of bird action . I monitor channel 11 and 16 so if you go out give me a shout. I hear that flounder are around some of the AR's Good luck ~JJ~

I was going to go down to the boat today but it looked like it was going to be pretty cold tonight. Tuesday looks a lot better so I'm planning on going down then. Maybe I'll see you guys. 90/90 doesn't sound far away so maybe I'll make a run out there if you guys are still hanging around. Wednesday I plan on winterizing the boat. Nothing too involved, just draining the block and getting anti-freeze in the fresh water system. I plan to still use the boat in the winter if we get some nice days so all I'll be out is a few gallons of antifreeze.

Get a chip with such named stuff on it from profinder charts. It will keep you from asking such questions.
I don't work for profinder, but I compared my four days of cordinate entry from various maps to what profinder already had available to me. I could have saved an incredible amount of effort for not really much cost.
They can likely burn you a chip for your area and your brand of GPS. They even took my points and burned me a custom chip, migrating my points from Garmin to Raymarine. Now that's customer service!

I'll definitely do that-- thanks for the tips. I was mainly just looking for how far off the beach that is. I have a Lowrance and really it is a pain to punch in all those numbers.
I am planning to run to 90/90 in the morning. Sea's look good, 2 footer's out 20 miles with 1 foot at the beach. I will troll 90/90 for a few hours. Then head to the Jungle if 90/90 is slow. I am set up in case I see surface action ( blues, albies etc.) on the way out.
I figure the bite will be best on the down side of the high tide. Which is around 8:48 am, so 9 till around 11:00 am should be good. After that I will decide whether to run further out. I hear the surface temp inshore is only 66, that might mean running out a ways to at least 68 or so. I will monitor channel 11 and hope to hear from a few THT'ers out tomorrow. Good luck and keep in touch~JJ~

I'm headed out this morning but the boat isn't going to hit water until about 10:30-11:00. JJ, I'll give you a shout on 11 and see if you're still out there.
