We were really bad on Saturday, dug a hole so deep we could not climb out of. Unfortunately, the Pack had a bye week and put together a very different game plan with all the passing than I think the Pirates were prepared for.
Racinmullet, I figured you would start talking trash on here, when ECU is in a bowl game and the pack is at home milking cows, then are you still going to talk on here. Oh, I guess you havent figured it out this is a boating/fishing forum, not ESPN. Virginia next week, hope you can keep the hype up.....
Hey, I have all along said that State football is not very good. I will even quote Tom O'Brien, "we are bad." It just makes me feel good considering how great you guys think ECU is that State got a W on Saturday.
I bet you ECU guys can recall the day, date and score of every ECU win over State in history. To kind of put it in perspective, I was surprised to be honest when I was reminded that ECU beat State last year. I had completely forgotten about that game.
We are good, you guys are terrible, we played our worst game of the year, you played your best. Were still first in our conference. All we do is look ahead and kick UAB butt. Oh yeah, I saw somewhere where it qouted State's AD, "We play for Championships" What championships?
34-20. We absolutley played our best game of the year. However, our worst team in the past ten years or so punked ECU. I realize that is tough to swallow.
Wow, you guys are viscious! As a Pack backer, I will freely admit that we basically suck this year. It was great to best the Pirates on Saturday, but none of us have pinned our hopes and dreams on a bowl bid this season. I'm just ready for basketball to begin!
I will give credit where it's due. State played well and ECU once again could not defend the "deep" ball, something UNC exposed. As a Pirate though... Those Refs made a couple of horrible calls that really dictated the result of the game.
Four college alumni were climbing a mountain one day: a NC State grad, an ECU grad, a Florida grad, and a Notre Dame grad. Each proclaimed to be the most loyal of all fans at their alma mater.
As they climbed higher, they argued as to which one of them was the most loyal of all. They argued all the way up the mountain, and when they reached the top, the Notre Dame grad hurled himself off the mountain, shouting "This is for the Fighting Irish!" as he fell to his doom.
Not wanting to be out done, the Florida grad threw himself off the mountain proclaiming, "This is for the Gators!"
Seeing this, the ECU grad walked over and shouted "This is for the Pirates!" and pushed the Wolfpack fan off the side of the mountain.
How bout it? Took down the HOOs. The Raleigh paper here is talking about us winning out and going to a bowl. Less talent and more confidence...Go PACK!
