Yesterday, Military Appreciation Day hosted an event for the Wounded Warriors Batallion of Camp Lejeune.
We chartered the Continental Shelf and went fishing in rough seas, lighting, thunder and wind! But hey, these guys are MARINES and they battled through it!
What an amazing group of men they are. I have such respect and admiration for them and their service.
After fishing we hosted a cookout that was open to the public at the Jaycee Park right next to the boat.
Fishing was pretty good despite the 5-7 foot seas, with some 8-9 footers to keep us on our toes (or backsides a few times too

)
Highlight fish of the day, big fish, REALLY BIG FISH
A 27 lb, 38 inch American Red Snapper
Did I mention the weather? Look towards the bow, unfortunately this was a common scene that started at 7:05 AM (congrats Tim on winning the chucker pool!)
