Mates name on the SWORDFISH is Austin. I fished that Wednesday and didn't get a bite. (along with a bunch of other boats) Then Thursday, an outboard pulls up with 8 release flags, and rumors of seeing an additonal 20+ fish??? ON top of the eight whites, a grander is weighed. WOrd quickly spreads about the 8 releases and the boat/owner is quickly located and "picked" for information. Turns out the info he gave people was way WRONG. We showed up on Friday in the same area as his "info", and no outboard boat was there. Come to find out he was North of his "info" and had been there the previous day as well.

Burned plenty of fuel for nada.....
Once we got to the area, we went 3 for 3 on whites, and witnessed boat after boat hoooking up with singles, doubles, triples and even saw one boat covered up with 5 on at one time. Top boat left the area with 13 whites which is a great day. Most boats had between 3 and 13 to end the day. Bite occured late in the day @ 2:00 and later.
I know good information is hard to come by, especially if you have a "secret" spot, but to blatanly lie, is not cool.
I hope he remembers who cuts the waves down for him on the ride out and may even help save a SEATOW bill sometime.
It is a big ocean and we just all need to get along and enjoy the sport of fishing.
