I have a trip planned for Fri. out of Shallotte Inlet and need a report. I have not been down in a few weeks, so does anyone have any info. for offshore? Atlantic Ledge,Horseshoe,Tower. I read the OIBFC report and it seems to support the 80 to 100 ft. areas using Cigar minnows and trolling slow.
I am taking some first timers so the Stream is a little far.

Pogeys have been tough to find along the beach. They are there, but very scattered. I've had the most luck finding them along Holden Beach. I recommend bringing some dead cigars and pull them slow while trying to jig up some live cigars. Be sure to bring a down rigger or two if you have them....most of my strikes recently have been deep. Horeshoe should be good.... I did hear the Jungle bite has turned on a little better?? Good luck...Let me know how you make out...I think I may have to stay on the hill this weekend.
