Default Ferry Lines

I promised my son and his 2 buddies I would take them down to Ocracoke to the Blackbeard museum. I plan to leave Manteo no later than 7:30am, that should put us at the ferry around 9:00am. How long will the lines be on a Tuesday or Wednesday morning at that time?

Is the place really that crappy? I would hate to waste the day driving all the way down there.

Yes it is, and two weeks ago at 9:00am the ferry's were backed up to the traffic light with all 6 lanes filled. I noticed this every day I was there.

Looks like the boys might end up being a little bit disappointed. I'm not waiting in the kind of traffic. I think will just go to the light house
