Banjo, welcome to THT. Don't take the lack of replies personally. Most of the people on this board lean more towards salt-water fishing. Also, you listed in the Carolinas section just yesterday, so many may have not seen your post yet as only those with Carolina ties will be viewing this section. I personally know nothing about fishing Lake Murray, so I can't be of any help to you, but I figure some people will be along before too long to help you out. If you have no luck here, try www.charlestonfishing.com or www.scducks.com as I am sure someone on those boards could help you out.

www.midlandsstriperclub.com, headquartered in Columbia, would be another place to check.

I've used Bill Salmon several times with great results. Nice guy, good boat, and he can put you on the fish. His number is 803-492-3557.

If your schedule permits fishing at night, I would inquire with some of the guides about a night trip (comfortable temps, no jetskis or wakeboarders). I know a lot of guys fish at night down close to the dam. This time of the year, that's where most of the stripers will congregate on Murray.

Call David Sturgis with Striper Addiction guides. He wins half the striper tournaments on Murray and is a good guy that will teach you to fish for striper while you are out there. Go to midlandsstriperclub and he has a link on their links page with his contact information. I have talked to him before and he is a good guy. Also fishes out of a 24' Sea Pro which is a nice sized boat for lake fishing.

Look to pay $400 for an all day or all night trip with any guide on murray. They are all the same price. And yes the striper bite at night this time of year like the other person said.
