Default Commercial Fishing License

I was thinking about trying to pick up a rec. com. fishing license but was wondering if anyone knew any info. about them maybe doing away with them? I had heard a while back that NC and other states were thinking about only allowing federal lic. to sale fish. Has anyone heard anything and if so, are they going to do away with it and how much longer will it be here. I guess im just trying to figure out if it is worth trying to buy. I dont want to get it and it be worth nothing next year this time. Thanks

its a pain in the butt in fla.. you have to buy this tracking system that can cost 2500-5000 from what I am hearing. Dont know if they are doing that up there or not. I was thinking about puting a comm license on my new boat but by the time I get it and all the saftey Equ I am looking at 15-20k

I do not believe there are any bills pending that will do away with the recreational commercial gear license or any other license for that matter
