Default Onboard chargers

I should probably post on the main board but thought i'd try local first.
I am thinking of installing an onboard charger in my bassboat but have a few questions. First I need a few recommendations on models. The Dual Pro chargers i've heard a bit about. Does anyone have one and what is your opinion of them? Any others I should consider?
Also the boat is rigged with a starting battery and 2 trolling batteries running 12volts. Do I need a 2 or 3 bank charger since the 2 trollers are linked?
Any help would be appreciated.

Tight lines!

I have a Dual Pro charger and love it. You will need the 3 bank in my opinion.

I have a Pro Mariner 100 and love it. Works like a charm, but I don't have trolling batteries, just a starting and house batteries.

I put one on every boat. You'll need one with as many banks as batteries even if they are hooked together. I've always used Minn Kotas and have had no problems.

If you find yourself needing to charge batteries on occasion, or often, you'll love it.

Thanks for the response everyone. One more question though. Will I need a selector switch installed to isolate the two trolling bateries during charging or is it ok to charge with them linked?

You will not need a switch.

Check out the info here:
http://www.minnkotamotors.com/produc...nfo.asp?pg=faq

Also you can probably download the manuals somewhere there. The manuals will have wiring diagrams that will answer most of your questions.
