Default OBX - Frisco area fishing with Boy Scouts

Next weekend taking about 15 Scouts to the campground in Frisco for a fishing weekend. Anyone have any good tips for where to fish. Pier or surf or sound fishing is about all we can do with this many kids.

I think they're having a Chili Cookoff at the campground too.

Went last year, but Hurricane Wilma gave us a sand blasting and we didn't do any fishing.

Stop into Red Drum tackle shop in North Buxton Village for the latest skinny on where to fish.

Capt Marty gives his fishing report every morning at 6:50am on 104.1, includes offshore, pier, bridge, and inshore fishing.

For a can't miss, have got to catch a fish spot, on the south side of the Bonner bridge (sound side) (spanning Oregon Inlet), there's an old ferry piling, cast to the north side of it from the rock jetty and you're gauaranteed spot, trout and croaker, however they will be small.

check the Miss Hatteras, red drum, and frisco pier. surf fishing might be a challenge with that many kids.
