I am with you swampdogg. Morehead used to be my most favorite "happy" place. No more.

They are privately owned. I have my boat there and rent a slip/lift from an owner/friend.

They do have a website, but I've had a hard time finding it.

But Radio Island doesn't have a ramp. Plus, that place is getting ready to go thru some MAJOR changes, equity slips and such
I saw a recent magazine article about the planned changes for Radio Island. Dry storage spots are expected to sell in the $65k-$70k range.

cross your fingers that the recent slowdown in the real estate market stems some of the growth here. reality is it probably won't. i just met with the builders of the nautical club over at the former Arrowhead campground in Indian Beach. 217 units going up there and that is just one of 3 or 4 more planned for Indian Beach.
access is a major issue now around morehead. if the land grabbers have their way, east of beaufort will be the same in a few years.
the little ramp over off evans is not bad for a small boat. the ramp at the end of west beaufort rd. may be another option for a larger boat. i usually use the one at the end of front st in beaufort. it's kind of between buft inlet and the back way to bardens.
