Thanks JeffGSR and Fishie...The boat is a very big 18' boat, but it is an 18' boat...I am looking to move to a larger wac...a 226/228 or a Grady Gulf stream would be ideal...
Jeff GSR,
The boat is currently in Danville, PA...about 50 miles north of Harrisburg...
Thanks for the heads up about GreatGrady...I'll investigate the site...
I will be fishing the Chesapeake (Crisfield) and Ocean City, MD in the next couple of months, and I may leave the boat at my Dad's house in Salisbury MD.
Apparently the bottom paint is a negative. Is there a way to remove the bottom paint and go back to the original gel coat? At a reasonable cost?
Thanks!
In my opinion, bottom paint is not a negative - You just haven't found the right buyer yet. I don't know about your price, but if it is priced correctly - it will go with time.

Those 18's are great little boats!
I love this boat. As for the bottom paint, it typically will be considered a neg. on a trailer boat. More weight, more maintenance, more drag. Obviously a must on a salt mooring or slip, but not needed at all for FW or SW trailer boating.
I definately wouldn't spend the $ on taking it off. You'll need to re-gel after the removal and it won't be cheap.
It'll go.....great rig.

Thanks for the feed back dowop and dropthatpuck. I will most likely let the next owner decide if it is worth the work and expense to take the bottom paint off.
Great boat, and as for the bottom paint issue, it doesn't seem to be a problem for the MILLIONS of boats used in the salt, like mine. It's a non-issue. You have it powerwashed in the fall when you take it out and painted in the spring when you put it in. Cost? A few hundred dollars. Big deal. Oh, yes, a boat/engine used only in sweetwater is attractive but as you learned in science class, most of the earth is covered by ocean. And that's a big-little boat. If I wasn't buying a new 21 footer in the spring I'd jump at it.
