I can personally vouch for the care given to this boat. It was washed and engines flushed each time it came out of the water. It's still reigns as my favorite offshore ride, the way it handles the seas is a thing to admire. Being an Albemarle owner I really love the way it sits at rest in a chop. It doesn't turn to beam like a Albe/Reg and toss you about. Whoever ends up with this boat is getting one of the best rides on water.
Just wanted to make sure the boat is still available? Are there extended warranties on the 250's? Where is MD is the boat located (would like to know how far from Charleston, SC). Looked at 20+ 31 Contenders in the past few months. Hard to find a boat in really good condition (yours looks good). Following one in Florida now and waiting for the Owner to say he wants to sell it (he's not sure???). Jack
Jack, The boat is still available. I only have extended warranty (3-10) on one motor according to Yamaha, I am still trying to resolve that. Motors both run perfect and have been serviced and maintained to the highest standards. I always flush them after each use. Boat is presently on display on Rt 50 in Vienna Md. at my buddies business Scarborough Fair where they sell Amish built crafts. The pictures I have posted suck but the boat is clean and loved. I am going to try to get down to the boat within the next week and take some better pics. I think for the price I am asking someone is going to get a hell of an offshore rig for a good price. This is the perfect power package for this rig. Thanks for looking. George
Thanks for the response. I'll stay in touch as I wait to here from the Owner of the Florida boat. I will not wait long as my wife and I are more than ready to get a 31' Contender (sold our flats boat 2 weeks ago). Jack
I will tell you there is not a cleaner or better maintained 2005 out there. I usually spend the second half of my dog walk trying to decide which kid to sell so I can buy it. Still up in the air on that.
Anyone looking for a Contender is crazy not to at least look at this boat.
Chris, Thanks for the kind words.
Sidpecora That is an awesome ride and I would love to own one but need the cash to make the move into a smaller boat.
For anyone out there that has been looking for a clean late model 31' Contender at half the price of new this is the one. I can assure you that there is not a cleaner boat on the market not to mention the color combination on this boat is perfect. Do not hesitate if you are on the fence because once this one is gone you will be using this boat to compare all the rest you look at while kicking yourself for not buying the one that got away. Captain George is a serious about his equipment as he is about his fishing. This boat is maintened and cleaned with an open check book. You are cheating yourself if you fail to come and look at this boat before buying another.
I've been on the Boat, know how the Owner takes care of it and His Equipment. All the previous statements are Dead On!!I put a Rod in the Leaning Post wrong...It got a Nick on it.......Thought I was Dead Meat!!
