Vtdownhiller, I wonder if the unknown hours on the engines is scaring people away.
I've always thought it was kind of silly for buyers to be so fixated on hours. A buddy of mine has twins with 1100 hours showing, but the port motor has a new powerhead with less than 100 hours so the meter is meaningless. And don't even get me started on how many boat owners disconnect the hour meter to show much lower usage than actual. I will take a thorough analysis of condition with compression test and documented maintanance any day over an hour meter!
I believe the max rating is 300hp, there were alot of 247's that came through with twin 150's..if you do a search here there is some info on how the extra weight on the transom puts the scuppers on or below the waterline. My mechanic in Mass. said he was never a fan of the 247 until he tried mine with the 130's...If I was to give a reasonable guess to the hours, I would have to say high 700's, but again it is an unknown...I have always maintained these motors with an open checkbook and flushed them with fresh water after each and every use...I hardly ever run these motors at WOT and then it is usually run and gun for tuna...my usual day on the water even in flat conditions would be 4200 rpm at 30 mph burns me at 15-16 gph...I know some guys with far less hours on their boats who never flush them, and run them wide open throttle at all times...which is better a pampered 700 hours or a rough 300 hours...
Oh, btw I can make alabama alot closer for you if you were seriously interested

The boat is dockside at the Newburyport Marina in Mass. Stellwagen is a haul from there, a sea trial could be set up...a day of tuna fishing on jeffries still runs 200.00...let me know
VT, really, really tempting............. wish I didnt have 2 little kids and not enough cash! great looking boat and really well maintained from the pics!
Times are tough. The boat is beautiful. I am sure the hull is sound, but the power is 12-13 years old depending on when it was splashed.
Get the hours checked, that may help.
I am surprised that you get 28 mph out of the 130s, i get there with a single 225 Ficht on my HS and the boats would seem to be around the same weight with yours being heavier.
It is a nice set up, good luck with the sale.
