Default ***SOLD** 1996 Wellcraft 238CCF Center Console ***SOLD***

1996 Wellcraft 238 CCF 24' Center Console ( 25' 8" OAL )
Motor is a Mercury Optimax 225 Saltwater Series with 550 hours.
Recent service 5 hours ago with new water pump, fluid changed, new Spark Plugs, New Fuel/water filters on the engine and one on the boat.
Compression test was done at the same time and is reported 120psi EVEN across all 6 cylinders.

The boat it's self has a New in March 08' , T-Top from Atlantic Towers with two new spreader lights (need to be wired in)
Older Garmin GPS
Icom VHF (needs antena)
Humminbird WIDE Fishfinder
1200 Watt sound system with Kenwood Head Unit, Kenwood Amplifier, JL Audio and Pioneer Marine Speakers ( 2x 8" and 2 x 10") and enclosed subwoofer.

SeaStar Hydraulic steering with new Seal Kit installed 5 hours ago by dealer
Center Console has walk in area with porta potti
LifeLine glass matt Batery in console and two starting Batteries in transom area
Bennett Trim Tabs
Leaning Post with live/bait well and stainless rocket launchers
In floor fish box with pump out (needs pump)
Total of 10 Stainless rod holders
Swim deck with transom door and stainless ladder
Tackle storage in transom

Boat will top out at 43 mph with 1/2 tank and two people at WOT via GPS and criuse is around 32mph at 4200 rpm
She has a 150 gallon fuel tank. I have not used the boat enough to give fuel burn #'s but I would guess it's in the 2.5 to 3 mpg range based on the size and the Optimax 225 compaired to what I have read from comparable boats.

The boat runs and rides great. The hull has a good shine to it for it's age and there are no nicks or rash on the bottom.
There is a spot at the rear corner where the plastic rub rail molding is damaged as seen in the pictures but the hull it's self shows no damage in that area.
The stickers on the engine are starting to peel and the top of the cowling is faded somewhat but can be buffed back to life.
The Deck has two spots the size of your fist that are soft due to spider cracks giving way to water seeping in. I had the deck and transom checked out and the mechanic told me the transom was dry and in good shape. The deck is not rotten, it just has those two little spots, the rest of it is fine. But it is what it is and there are no misrepresentations here. Come see it for your self.

The tandem axle trailer is in good shape. It's an older steel trailer and has been painted. I have towed with it a total of around 1500 miles with no issues. But like I said, it is an older trailer, not pretty but is still dependable and in ok condition. No brakes.

All in all this Boat is in Great condition and runs perfect!

Asking $11,900
I am also interested in trades. I am not selling for financial reasons but rather to reduce expenses. Maintenance, Insurance, Storage, fuel, ect, ect.
I will consider trades for Trucks, classic cars, Utility ATV, ect.

Boat is located in Sping, Texas (north of Houston) Also, this boat was sitting on a trailer, in my driveway, 100 miles from the coast when Ike came thru. This is NOT an Ike boat!! The boat was purchase in Oklahoma City last year.

I have that same boat (with a 225 yammy) and I love it.
Yours appears to be in great condition.
Best of luck on the sale.

Thanks!
How fast will the 225 yammy push yours? Best I have seen with the Optimax was 43mph once on light chop and I never saw it again. Seems to not want to go past 40mph unless it gets a good chop on the water then it will see 41-42.
I am running a 17 pitch Stiletto.

Yeah...that's about the same top end I see. It's about 36-38 knots or ~ 42-43 mph. I can't recall the pitch on my prop.

The 238's are have a great layout, lots of storage, and are fishermen friendly. Stable on the hook and a great fishing platform for me. I fish the offshore waters of Lousiana...rigs, barrier islands, etc...

Best of luck on the sale.
