Boat has been sold!

PRICE LOWERED TO 30,000

2000 MAKO 252
The boat is in excellent condition. I have owned it for 2 years. This boat is offshore ready. She has up graded electronics, including XM radio with marine weather package. She is currently located in Portsmouth, RI. The boat has twin 200 horsepower Mercury Optimax motors. These motors have been maintained by a Mercury certified mechanic. The motors have 930 hours each and start every time on the first try. They burn 16 gallons per hour (combined) at 33 knots, which equates to 2 miles/gallon. I am selling this boat because I am moving up.

Are you supposed to running the boat with the engine covers on?

I thought the motors needed to breath

these particular covers are designed to be on while the outboard is running or not. they have a form of plastic mess that is sewn into the cover where the air exchange takes place. they also protect the cowling from the sun and/or errant fishing equipment. see this website regarding these covers: http://www.outboardcovers.com/combo.htm

I went an looked at this boat the other day. It is indeed as advertised and one very impressive, extremely well equipped and well kept up boat. Is has electronics on it that are typically found on much large boats. The boat is just too much boat for my current application, otherwise it would be in my drive way right now.
