It’s a 2005 23cc Maycraft with a 2005 225hp Mercury Verado
and 2005 Performance trailer.
Boat has: Trim tabs, raw water washdown,extra large center console with step-down inside.Has a porta-potty inside. All cleats a flush mount. Anchor locker in bow. Life jacket storage bag underneath t-top. Twin Batteries.
Fold--down tower with controls & steering up top. Top has Taco Grand Slam Outriggers & has 6 rod holders on top plus 2 on the tower( for Cobia fishing) The center console has removable curtains that are 6 months old. The leaning post has 4 rod holders plus 32 gal. livewell & 4 rod holders on the gunnels. Across the stern is a fishbox. Up in the bow area there are 2 large storage holds. I use one for tackle & the other for a fish box. Both have overboard drains. It holds 88 gal. of fuel.
The engine is under warranty until Feb. 2008. Its just had its 300 hr service. At 35mph it burns about 10gph & WOT its 30gph at 48mph. It has electronic power assist steering. You can steer with one finger at idle or wide open. It has DTS throttle( Digital Throttle System ). No hard cables-its fly by wire. This is on both upper & lower station. It has a stainless steel prop. Also has digital gauges.
Electronics- It has a Lowrance LCX19 C color GPS,Sounder,
Charterplotter, Icom 422 VHF on the upper & lower station with the expanded channels which means it has 120 channels rather than the standard 89.
Its has a Digital VHF antenna.Also has an AM\FM\CD player.
Aluminum trailer is a tandem axle by Performance. It has hydraulic brakes & a spare tire.

Price reduced to $40000. Got to sell ,cant afford 2 boats.

I've been to your website......ya know just checking up on other MayCraft owners.

My 23 was before they got all fancy. In '98 at the Miami boat show, Ken May told me they hoped to break 200 boats in the future.

I'm selling too. And have not even recieved a sniff here.
Which seems all too odd for the traffic this place gets.

I've got a 26' custom boat on it's way, and if I didn't need a larger boat I'd run this 23 MayCraft for ever. For 8 years it's been the perfect do all boat for me here in Jacksonville Florida. 55 miles offshore doing over-nighters bottom fishing, Gulf Stream sails in S. Florida and inshore fishing here in the St. Johns River in Jax.

Mr. May Builds one tuff boat. I was going to order a 27 center console MayCraft with a big single, but got a great deal I couldn't pass up on another boat.

Whatcha moving on too?

I getting a 23 Sea King. I need a boat with more range. The Sea King has a 140 gal tank instead of 88, plus twin engines.
I need to run faster in big chop. The King has 24degree of deadrise. The only problem with the King is I won't be able to get into some of the shallow water holes that hold trout & puppy drum that I do with the Maycraft. The Maycraft is still a great boat compared to alot of other 23's.

Never heard of it.
Just like so many have never heard of a MayCraft either especially here in Florida, where all the boats are look-alikes.

I'm getting bigger, and custom built for my fishing needs.

Sweet looking boat. We have one that we crab out of thats 6 yrs. old & going strong. There are built down the road from my uncle. Nothing fancy, just a solid boat for the money. That thing will scoot with that Verado.
Crabs dont like to ride fast.

will the boat accomadate a bow mounted trolling motor?

It would depend on how long the shaft is. You would have to have a 36 volt motor to pull it around. Ray
