*** SOLD *** 1999 Albemarle 32 Express *** SOLD ***
*** SOLD *** AT HER NEW HOME IN TOPSAIL ISLAND, NC *** SOLD ***
1999 320 Express with 300hp 3116 Cats (**NOT** "French block" 3116's - will verify with records from Gregory Poole Caterpillar) . . .
This boat was built in April, 1999 and is likely the last 1999 model made before Albemarle started building the "2000 models" . . .
This exceptional second-owner 32 Albemarle (previous owner was from Annapolis, MD and owned the boat since new) is currently owned by an extremely meticulous and knowledgeable owner and captain, and the boat shows and performs better than new! NO EXPENSE HAS BEEN SPARED in maintaining this boat in BRISTOL CONDITION!
This boat is kept clean and maintained by a professional service. THT member HBO can attest to how I keep my boat - he bought my 24 Albemarle that I owned previously to this boat . . .
The hull has been barrier coated. Any and all equipment additions to the boat have been professionally installed and purposely designed to be clean, unobtrusive and/or hidden. All engine maintenance has been performed. Any serious buyer will appreciate that ALL of the gelcoat shines like new (NO OXIDATION!), ALL of the metalwork is like new (NO PITTING!), and the boat (including the windshield and other glasswork) DOES NOT have any hard water spots (NO HARD WATER SPOTS!)!
The motors have about 810 hrs and I have put only 120 hrs on the boat in over 3 years (since I've owned the boat) . . . my work does not allow me much (any) time to use the boat . . . for this same reason, my condo w/boat slip in Morehead City, NC is also for sale . . . an immaculate example of a "new-style" 32 Albemarle!
EVEN THOUGH THE BOAT HAS BEEN VERY LIGHTLY USED, MAINTENANCE SO FAR IN 2006 INCLUDES FRESH BOTTOM PAINT (INTERLUX MICRON 66), HULL WAX, "PROPSPEED" ON RUNNING GEAR, 3 NEW BATTERIES, AND A FRESH LOAD OF FUEL (OLD FUEL PUMPED OUT AND REPLACED WITH FRESH FUEL).
MAINTENANCE DURING 2005 INCLUDES NEW MAIN ENGINE IMPELLORS, AFTERCOOLERS AND TURBOS PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED AND INSPECTED, ENGINE COOLANT REPLACED (CAT-SPEC COOLANT), OIL AND FILTERS (AIR, FUEL, AND OIL) CHANGED (CAT FILTERS), AND PROPS COMPUTER-SCANNED AND BALANCED!!!
Cruises at 24+ knots at 2400 rpm, and both motors will top out at about 2850 rpm. I religiously use BioBor and PRI-D at each fill-up. Boat does not have Floscans, but uses between 100 and 110 gallons for a day trip to the Big Rock . . .

Asking $189,900, but will entertain all reasonable offers . . . this boat is turn-key and ready to go offshore at any time - just add ice, rods, and bait . . .
Someone needs to enjoy this boat . . . I just don't have the time and will not have the time in the foreseeable future . . . more pics can be provided on request . . .
Because I do not want to be entirely without a boat, I would consider trading for a late model 26-31 foot quality center console (Regulator, Contender, etc.) with 4 strokes . . .
You know, I wish I were in the market and had the wherewithall, I'd buy this boat sight unseen! As Kevin mentioned in his ad, I bought his previous boat, a 2000 247 Express. When he says "Bristol Condition", he means it in every sense of the word. When I bought Kevin's 247, it was already a few years old and had some hours under her belt. I can quite honestly say that the condition was better than new. I tried to keep it as nice and when faced with a maintenance question, I would often ask myself, "what would Kevin do"? I'm quite sure this boat is at least worth his asking price and urge anyone interested in a 32 Express, you'll be doing yourself a HUGE favor by looking at his first.
Kevin, I'm sorry you haven't had the time to use your boat as much as you would've liked. I know firsthand what a disappointment that is! I was going to say good luck with the sale too, but you don't need luck, she'll sell herself!
It's killing me to have her up for sale, but 120 hours in the 3+ years that I've owned her says it all. I just wish I had the time to use it . . . as you know, I keep it "turn-key" ready just in case that chance arises . . . However, the weekends just keep flying by . . .
Yep, it sure does. Even after all this time, I'll look down at my EMPTY boat lift and wonder where she is and what she's doing. Hope she's happy and fishing somewhere on the Gulf! It's tough to look back and wonder.
Each side has it's own trolling valve (that's what you see below the throttles). When you engage both trolling valves, you can get the idle speed down to a crawl with both motors in gear. Great set-up for live-baiting . . .
The red lights between the FF and the Northstar and between the Northstar and the radar light up when the trolling valves are on (running with the trolling valves on will burn up the gears).
HBO & Billable Hours,
I have been wanting to tell you guys I think I saw your original 24 Albie last April in Hatteras. I did a double-take. If I remember, a guy in Florida bought the boat but I did see a 24 with your name on the transom. We were at Teachs.
HH, that is entirely possible as the new owner was originally from Wilmington and spoke of coming back from Florida in the future. Perhaps he is back now and Billable Hours is back home?
Thanks for that report, I'll keep a look out for her!!!
I can relate. The timing just was not right for me. I wanted to buy that boat and truck from Howard. Two months later I ended up with the F-250 and the Sailfish to tow it. That Albie was a real deal.
