I agree with this. I don't live on the water. I need to trailer regularly.

FWIW
I had the same boat except a full cuddy with a 200hp volvo diesel.
The boat was nothing short of incredible. We canyon fished it numerous times and spent almost every weekend shark/tuna fishing 20-40 miles out. This is a great hull.
This specimen seems even nicer as you can anchor more easily.

Is your Topaz still available? I am in Lantana and would like to take a look at it if it is.

That boat is going to fly with an 8.1l Crusader. I bet she will be 28 knots at 3500 rpm and 34 wot

I can not believe this boat hasn't sold yet.

Buy this boat for $13500 replace the engine with a Yanmar 240 HP 4 cylinder with new ZF gear, new shaft and prop and you are into a real nice fishing machine for around $33,500.00 with a cruise at approx 22 knts all day long through 3' seas burning about 4 gallons/hr.

Been there done that. These things run like an F350 dually diesel on the water. I use to take my 1978 90 miles off shore to the North East Canyons, slay tuna and head home all in a Looooong day. That's 90 miles one way. Troll for 5 hours and head home.

I use to head out 45 miles to the Dumping Grounds and the Shipping lanes every chance I got with my Topaz.

Hey Jay, (jbg108) these things are great at 22 to 25 knots. Start to get over 25knts and the ride suffers. They work better with the bow in the water and the pocket helps her track straight.

Dorado, it looks like you've really taken care of her. For what it's worth, I wouldn't spend the money on the repower. For the price you are asking if someone that wants to repower they could repower with a nice 4 cylinder Yanmar and be in a great package for around 20K more. That's a steal.

I'd take that package over a new outboard 4 stroke CC package any day.

That's all based on experience. I sold my boat last year to the guy that designed the 24' Topaz.

Is the gas tank original? Has the boat had transom or stringers redone?
