There is no difference in the bows of the boats from the first ones in 1991 to date. The only change made on these boats is the running bottom changed in 2000 with the removal of the lifting strakes that run beyond midship on the earlier models. The new hulls have a shorter strake and that is about the only change from day one. The cap on the boat changed as well in the new milenium and that is what might give the impression of a taller bow. The new caps have an intergrated anchor locker as well as some changes at the rear gunwale and how it connects to the hull as it rounds the transom area.
I am currently restoring a 1992 and know the boats well as I have owned a few over the years. Great hulls for the money. Linwood builds them strong and simple.
I had a 99 1800 and loved the boat. It's amazing how well it held its resale value. THis one looks real clean, bump to top.
A/B FWIW, some time ago, when I noticed the difference in appearance between the 1800 and 1801, I emailed the factory and got this response from Robin (great factory response from Parker)
"I am glad to hear that the trim tabs have made a difference on your boat.
There are a few changes to the 1801 Center Console over the older model 1800 Center Console. We sharpened the degree of entry forward, added additional freeboard and cockpit depth, added a molded anchor locker forward as well as returns as the transom.
If I can be of further assistance from the factory, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you for choosing Parker.
Sincerely,
Robin Parker

What is the beam? NADA says the beam on a 2000 is 7' but the 98 is 7'. Can you verify? Does the bow rail mount with the trolling motor, or is it one or the other? Do you have any records on service work on motor, routine maintnence? I should be able to check it out at it this weekend.
Boat is a model 1800 not 1801, sorry.
Please send me PM's if interested, or email me at afishinado@comcast.net
Price lowered to $13k
Chops, it is 7'
The bow rail was removed for the trolling motor. Would be very easy to put back on if you'd rather have it that the trolling motor, less than an hours work..
