Default 2000 Cabo 35 Flybridge for sale (Videos Added)

Up for sale is my 2000 Cabo 35 Flybridge. I'll miss her, but she's not fitting the needs of my family at this time. Plan to move to a 30+ foot center console.

Yanmar 6LY2A-STE 2 speed motors with 1,350 hours

Westerbeke generator 250 hours

All electronics replaced within the past 6 years
2 Raymarine C90w units in helm
Raymarine C120w in cockpit
Raymarine radome
DSM 300 sounder unit
Airmar Ss270 comercial grade transducer
Simrad auto pilot
Fusion stereo with second control in cockpit

Rod holders replaced upgraded to swivels, and added to the existing number.

Boat is located in Newburyport MA

"35 FLYBRIDGE
The quality of our 35 Flybridge is legendary. She was the first boat off the CABO line in 1991, and over the years this pocket battlewagon has been called "bulletproof" and "a benchmark for construction, design, and bluewater performance" by some of sportfishing's most respected experts. In 1999, she was retooled from the keel up to incorporate technical improvements and increase accessibility to her systems and components. More than 300 hulls now fish the oceans of the world, making the 35 Flybridge one of our best-selling models ever."

Asking $150,000. Will consider trades for a 30'+ center console.

Thank you
Bob

Wow

That thing is beautiful!! Is that a black hull or navy blue??

What hp are the engines?

Cruise speed?

More pics?

Are you going to list with a broker?

I was looking at moving from a 34 to a 40 or 43, but the 35 Cabo is a great boat and may serve my needs.

Flag blue awlgrip. First owner ordered it flag blue, but when it came in white they agreed to paint it. There's some battle scars, but from a distance it's pretty.

What hp are the engines?

440

Cruise speed?

20 knots
26 knots Wot

No broker yet, can take a lower price that way. May regret it, but hopefully can get it sold quicker at a lower price.

I'm not having much luck uploading more pics from my phone. I'll try to post them separately.

No luck posting more pics. Could be the phone. I'll try from my office tomorrow. I don't have many without family or goofy friends in them, so if there's anything specific you'd like a picture of just let me know and I can just add them to this thread or send them to you directly.

Thank you
Bob

What do you mean by 2 speed motor? I did a quick Google search with no luck.

It works like trolling valves, but it's actually a two speed transmission. Used it for the first time in years this month just to be sure it still worked.

I assume you mean 2-speed transmissions and not 2-speed motors. ZF Marine manufactured 2-speed transmissions back in the late 90s / early 2000s and were used in applications where the torque curve of an engine was not suitable for a traditional single speed transmission. The LY Yanmars are higher revving engines and don't produce the desired low-end torque needed to get a 35 Cabo on plane with a single speed transmissions. The rationale with a 2-speed transmission is you start off in low gear and then as the boat begins to plane you shift to high gear. You can definitely feel it shifting gears... You have a very nice boat; it has the Lou Codega hull design; same Naval Architect that designed the Regulator 26, and many other fine boats. GLWS

It is the ZF 2 speed transmission. There's no need to use the lower gear to get up on plane, so I never bother to use it. I'm not arguing that it was not the intention, but certainly overkill if it was. There's more than enough torque without it. You certainly can feel the difference in the low gear, and you can feel the shift. Only time I ever used it was for trolling as it allows you to get to a lower speed. We haven't had the small blue fin tuna up here in years, so there's been no reason to troll.

Others have said if you turn the camera or phone and take the photos sideways, they will post sideways regardless of how you turn them on your computer.

Beautiful Cabo...but I've never seen a Cabo that wasn't beautiful. GLWS

Can you give an idea of performance and fuel burn
What is tank capacity?
Is this the same hull as the express?

Same hull as the express. It's the "newer" hull. They changed it 99, and kept the same design until they retired the 35. Fuel capacity is 420 gallons. There's two tanks, a 200, and a 220. The 220 also fuels the generator. I cruise at 20 knots, and she's maxed out at 26 knots with the props I have on there. I have a second set of props from the first owner, but he felt the ones on there now where more economical. I apologize, but I've never tracked fuel burn.

Found some more pictures. I'll get some more important ones this weekend of compartments and things. I'll be fishing tomorrow, but if the fishing is slow it may just turn into a picture day.

Forgot to mention, I have a swim platform for this boat. The picture with the platform is from when I purchased her. I've kept it in storage, but it will come with the boat.
