2 2005 Yamaha F250TXRDs
one standard, one counter
warranty to 3/13/2008
excellent condition
500 trouble-free hours, mostly drift fishing and live-baiting
I do not have a close-up picture (yet), but the engines are currently on the hull at Yellowfin factory in Sarasota, FL.
These engines have been exceptionally reliable. I am very anal about routine and preventive maintenance. In addition to the regular schedule recommended in the manual, I replaced a lower unit seal at 40 hours that wasn't originally installed correctly (it was pinched). A new exhaust manifold at 110 hours and a $2 cotter pin on the shift lever arm. That's it.
I love these engines, and will order a set of 06s if I sell these. If not, I will run them again this season.
$23,900 + shipping (if applicable), sold as a pair only.
Been run very hard, still warranty tho. Just my observations. No different from others advertised. In all cases, had the dog s55t run out of them. Your choice, but does have warr.
lrfisher,
I hope you never try to sell anything on this board. market conditions will determine the terms of the sale and I don't think they need your help.

Wow you think this guy got beat up in school?
How to make friends and influence people by, lrfisher.

I don't need an apology from IrFisher. I don't know him; he doesn't know me, nor does he know my motors.
I have taken excellent care of these motors since delivery. I fished a dozen tournaments and less than ten charter trips. I don't fish for a living and I don't run the sh! out of the motors. If you're interested in these motors and want to know exactly how I've run them, then I would invite you to get a service technician to download the appropriate ECU data. See for yourself.
These have been and continue to be excellent motors. I am not pushed to sell them; I trust them fully for the upcoming season. I am fortunate to be able to purchase a new set "on the program," so therefore there are smart financial reasons for selling them. I am not looking to unload a pair of problems.
I will admit that Irfisher's comments annoy me somewhat. It is unfortunate to prejudge every tournament angler as the stereotypical testosterone yahoo who blasts around at 6100rpm all day. Many of us who compete frequently, especially those of us in twin engine boats that will not plane on one engine, know that we must not abuse them. I can only speak for myself, but I enjoy working on motors, and look forward to doing the routine maintance myself. I trust my local Yamaha technician fully, but I like getting my hands dirty (as well as saving money).
So if you are in the market for a used set of well-maintained and reliable engines with plenty of warranty, please contact me. If you'd rather take cheap shot attempts to derail a thread with stereotypical banter, then contact IrFisher.

You're probably right, HotRod. I should have thought of that before I left the boat there. I'm in NC right now. Maybe I could refund the survey fee if they end up buying the motors.
Hey Joe, Welcome to THT.... I have seen your boats up the East coast and always noted how immaculately detailed you kept them. I am sure you won't have trouble selling those motors. Neat thing about those ECU's, they tell all don't they! Good Luck and if you fish Georgetown this year I will introduce myself.... Ben
They will bolt on exactly like your F225's. Mounting bolts, wire harness's, cables, fuel ....everything will be the same. The only change you will need is probably a different prop.
