I'm a little surprised at the 20knt cruise for a 1995 Davis. Anyway, killer boat and attractive price!

Don't know the boat or the seller, but that is a sliding door. In the first and fourth photos, the door is open, which places the handle to the starboard side of the door opening. On the interior shot, the door is closed and thus the handle is to the port side of the opening.

When you say "Patially finished interior", what does that mean?

Nice boat and the price is damm right, but I'd think a total repower is in order. 6/92's in a boat that heavy is a stretch IMO...

Majority of the 47's had 892's why would a 52 have 692's?

That boat would be fabulous w/ the right power.

That boat is underpowered, but the price reflects that and the "patially"-which I would presume means partially- finished interior. Looks like a fantastic deal for someone who is not in a hurry to get to the fishing grounds, and is into cruising more than fishing. In any event, it's a good deal and I am sure it won't stay on the market long.......

Boat was chartered for first two years and 6/92s (1988 models) were the economically correct choice at that time. Our intent was to take the boat out of charter (which we did), repower and finish out the interior and have a top notch sportfish for the family. Plans changed, got smaller boats and ended up never finishing or repowering but did rebuild the motors, each has less than 500hrs on complete overhauls. Engines work and are serviceable but the right move, IMO would be to repower. Boat has been used approximately 400 hrs in total over the last 6 years.

Struts/shafts/engine beds/exhaust system are in place and ready to accept 1000+hp/side if desired. 1 guest stateroom and head are finished. The rest of the boat is bulkheaded, plumbed, wired and ready for a 3strm/2hd layout. In a nut shell, with repower, new paint, finished interior, this boat is identical to ones being currently offerred for sale today at $700K +.

So you repower her for 300, finish the interior for 50 and you have a 52 Davis w/ a new interior, new power and a 30 knot cruise for 650. STILL a good deal for a 95 boat. Help me with the motors Mark, am I short or is 300 close?

I've run a bunch of numbers on this. Repower with 0 hour rebuilds in 800hp range is about $80K, with new is about $165K. Interior/new electronics/other will be anywhere from $80K (finished nicely) to $120 (REALLY tricked out). So total in would be between $465K to $585K.

Will 800's give you 30 knots? That is the magic number for resale don't forget.....
