I will be driving the boat on the trailer to SW Florida from Cape Cod in the next month. If you are interested in the boat I will meet you on the way down.
This boat is now 4-sale in S.W. florida. (Rotonda West/ Englewood) Call me if you have any questions (774)263-2675. I can show the boat any day this week, then I am traveling for a few weeks.
Yes, those are basically Yamaha motors. I have the extended warrenty through 07/27/09 on these motors. The motors push this boat around 36-37 MPH and it will cruise at 28-29 MPH. My fuel economy is around 2.3-2.5 miles per gallon. This boat holds 100 Gals. of fuel. This summer I ran from Plymouth to fish for tuna north of Cape Ann. I fished all day and when I turn the boat and headed back to Plymouth it was 54 miles. I think I used around 73 gallons.
I saw another boat like yours on the side of the road in florida. The guy was selling it but I could not read the phone number. It was in the fort myers area. Is that boat 26 or 28 ? It had a couple really old ocean pro motors and a very old trailer. I was thinking it would be a fun project this winter.
I found a place to keep the boat on the trailer, in the Boca Grande area this winter/spring so I will be able to take people for test drives anytime. This boat has never had bottom paint and is always stored on the trailer.
Some pictures of the work that I have done on this boat in the last 12 months. New Stainless Steel Gas Hinge for the storage compartment door, New Stainless Steel Flush Mount Cleats, New flush mounted Stainless Steel fish locker hatches, New Blue Sea fuse pannel, New Battery Cables, Steering Cables, Steering arms, Adjustable Position Steering Helm, New Throttle Cables and Shifting Cables...
