No, not as long as the last post in the ad was previous Thursday (ie. 7 days ago).

7 days is a long time...it should be 4
You should edit your OP with the price change. Then you can also make a new post about the price change, and list the new price in that post.

If you want to include a new item in your ad, you should follow the price change advice above - to a point. The point being, if you continually add items with new posts, that could be considered a bump-like post.

Unfortunately, we have too many ads to go to 4 days between posts.

If you are answering a legitimate question, answering is of course ok.

7 days is way too long, particularly for non-vendors.
As previously mentioned, we have far too many ads to go less than 7 days.

So: Henceforth, the rule is that you may not bump a thread/ad more than once per week (ie. 7 days) between the date of the last post (your's or other's posts). Bumping includes moving the thread to the top by statements such as "all orders shipped, PM sent, bump, TTT, thank you, or other bump-like posts, etc." Having friends post in your ad for the puspose of moving the ad to the top will also not be tolerated, and will be considered the same as bumps.

Continual bumping, or bump-like posts will result in your ad being pulled/removed from public view for a day or 2, or more, depending on the number of bumps, bump-like posts, etc.
My posting has been on a long time and far on the bottom- How do I move my Ad up front??

Go to your ad, and at the bottom of that page you will see the "Quick Reply" box.

Type the word "Bump" in that box and click on "Quick Reply."

That will bump your ad to the top of the first page.

Also - please read the "Sticky" at the top of the page about bumping too frequently, which doesn't seem to be a problem in your case.

Read my reply directly above your question, and if you still have questions, send me a PM.

what if somebody compliments your boat and says it's beautiful.
can't you at the very least say "thanks for all of the compliments."

I find this explanation of how one bumps an ad a bit baffling.

Can you provide a clearer explanation?

Yes you can, but it should be done via PM or email, but not within the ad per the Bumping Sticky.

So I tried to follow the above advice tonight. I updated my OP with the new pricing and then placed a new post stating the price change. But the new post see,s to have been removed.

I'm new to the site mad just trying to follow the rules. That's all.

Let me know what I should have done differently.

Thank you!

Mod - how do you change the name of the listing thread/title ? - not the title inside title - the outside listing / title
I updated the title in "advanced" but it did not change the outside title /listing

Default 1975 Mako 23 straight inboard

1975 MAKO 23 Inboard Center console with T-top, GM 5.7 liter engine with oversized pistons and performance cam delivers 275hp. Complete rebuild with only 12 hours running time.
Transmission is 1:1.
See the video capt guts offers mako 23

Garmin echomap 70s is new. Acme 547 left hand prop highly recommend by Classic
Mako fans. Swim ladder. With the engine under the console the ride is suburb.

There is a 2 axle trailer which is rigged for this boat. On most boat ramps used, the boat drives right up with only inches to winch.

The boat and trailer are offered at $9900.00US. Let’s make a deal.
Check it out on your internet browser; enter capt guts offers mako 23
