Doug, what are the hours on the Cats now, and can you share some other performance numbers - rpm, speed, burn,% load.....also any update on schedule for moving it south. Beautiful shots.
A carolina boat in Yankee-land-Capt Bare must be having a fit!!! Hey Tom, ya redneck, if you decide to come up and go for a ride, call me-I 'll go along and let you buy me a beer and you can crash in E. Orleans...
the cats have 1200 hours on them and have extended transferable warranty until May 2008. Fuel burn is 70 gallons per at a 30 knot cruise speed with about a 77% load at 1975 rpms. I have 2 sets of props. I run the more conservative ones as my primary props and these numbers are based on the more conservative props. The spare set makes for a faster boat speed but the engine load stats are higher.
My plan is/was to be in Moorehead city on sunday evening 10/16 but the weather looks like it may make me wait a few more days. I need to get there soon because i am fishing a wahoo tournment in moorehead that starts on Thursday Oct 20 if the seas stay this rough i will have to skip the tournament---I am happy to talk over the phone about the boat if you have interest.--thanks
Just curious Dry, how long does it take you to run the boat there? Weather permitting of course. I know a guy that owns a 61 Garlington and he makes the trip in a day from here on Long Island.
CMP-
Tell me about it, I might have to buy it JUST to get it back where it belongs! I'm going to look at her hopefully Tuesday after fishing or Wed am if the weather lets him get it down here.
call me, tb

Nick, we run at 30 knots as long as we are not getting beaten up. If it is rough I throttle back. Speaking of rough, the weather here is still quite miserable.
I'm heading down today and fishing tomorrow. Give me a shout on the cell if you are going to get down here this week and we'll set something up.
Tom.

All this bad weather gave me an opportunity to get some work done on the boat. I had the marina haul her out last week. They painted the bottom, replaced all of the zincs and cleaned all of the underwater hardware. Then I had them do bunch of paint touch ups and finish with a coat of wax on the hull. The boat is 100% right now and it shows. While we were putting her back in the water yesterday a guy stopped at the travel lift and asked me if it was a brand new boat. I will leave for Moore Head City once Wilma passes through.
Fly on up here, Tom. Looks like he won't be out of here until at LEAST Sunday...

squiddly do u mean anelieni? he loves his 26 reg more then the garlington...lol
Close. His name is "Antolini" and he has a 31 Yellowfin, aside from the 61 Garlington. His son has the 26 Regulator. And the reason hes selling the Garlington is because it costs too much to run. Hes looking to get something like he had, but in the 56-58' range.
FINALLY ! we have a weather window and will leave for Moore Head City on Thursday morning early --We should arrive in NC Friday night Nov 4th---Boat will be in Paul Spencer's slip near the big rock weigh in station. I will be there all weekend, stop by and say hello if you are in the area. thx
