Why don't you put more info about the boat and what's wrong with it. I would have thought the motor was good without the last post.

It's a project boat. Idk much about it.. I bought it from guy that had it within his family. the hull is in great shape as u can see in pix. I was gonna gut the boat trash the motor.

is this boat still for sale - and in terms of the restoration required, what work needs to be done aside from the engine?

I had one setup the exact same way and it ran sweet 2001 yamaha 250 OX66 WOT ran in the low 50's I hit 55 on my GPS with the wind at my back flat calm and dropped my buddies off at the beach for a second just to see. It was OK on fule but not amazing. Bump for a sweet setup..... Good luck with the sale, If you keep it and have any questions I gutted mine and redid eveything so I can answer questions...
