Smile Would you? Buy a 1989 Luhrs Tournament for $35k

All,

I am looking at 1989 Luhrs 320 Tournament (freshwater) boat for $35k
The boat has 454s and looks fine normal wear and tear but the hull looks nice and the hulls inside seems clean as well. The shaft seal was dripping and needs one of those new rope seals, other than that it looked really good.

My big concern is the year 89 and the cored hull? I assume that it is a balsa cored hull from the forums saying 1987-1990 are cored vs the bottom being all glass and only the sides of the hull having the bulsa in the middle. (do you generally run form Luhrs 320s of 1987-1990 years as they have a bad rap?

I assume that as long as the hull is not compromised that the boat should not have an issue, that apparently lots of Sea Rays have cored hulls.

How neverous should I be? Am I over reacting? It had a DNR survey and passed with flying colors in 2011, however that was for it to be a charter boat. I don't know if that entails hull inspection or if they even care to look at it.

Supposedly had a Marine Survey which BUC Book valued it at $51,000

It is 35k fresh water boat and there are not many of that style at all in the central US so I am looking for opinions

Thanks for your help.
