This boat has taken us safely to the canyons and back numerous times. It is safe in seas bigger than I want to go out in and pretty fast for a boat thats about 11k lbs. loaded. It has a great ride, and many members on this forum can attest to this being a great model. We just want to move up. I've had this boat since 2005, it had around 100 hrs when I bought it, and we've enjoyed it as much as we could these past 5 yrs. It's been a really great boat for us.

Motors:

- 2001 Yamaha Saltwater Series OX66 250 hp x 2. These motors have 677 hrs and counting. These are known to be the most reliable motors ever made by Yamaha. They have given me zero issues.

- Furuno 1933C and neworked 1920C. CMAP Max cartography.

- Airmar dual frequency thru-hull transducer

- Furuno 4kw open radar array, range 48NM

- Clarion CD player and 6 waterproof speakers

Fishing Equiment:

- Rupp Z30 Outriggers with 18 ft. poles.

- 6 gold tulip custom mounted hardtop rocket launchers.

- 4 hardtop leg gold tulip rocket launchers

Thanks! I'm looking to move up. Right now my short list is a Henriques 35, a Carolina Classic 35 (or maybe a 32), or a 32 Topaz.

I dunno if the move to diesel will be a good one. But life is short, why not try it.

best i will see is 1.2 mpg according to the yamaha flow meters (which are really very accurate ). this would be with a light load.

more typical is 1.1 mpg with an average load. this is over a variety of speeds from a slow cruise of say 3600 rpm at around 25 mph to a fast cruise at 4500 rpms and 38 mph.

loaded heavy for the canyons, with 4-5 guys, fuel full (1800 lbs!), 200 lbs of ice, 20 rods, 250 lbs of bait, and buckets of kfc, we will typically get 1.0 mpg and travel at 3800 rpm at around 30 mph if its calm.
