2004 Carolina Skiff J16. Hull has factory installed front casting deck with open storage underneath, 18gallon fuel tank, bench seat with dual batteries and switch, and rear standing deck/bench seat. Boat has been used at least 2 times a week since it was purchased brand new (original owner). Just sold the motor recently off of the boat, and I'm looking to sell the hull itself now. It also has a bimini top in great condition, and it comes with a trailer that works, but could use some attention. The boat is great as a backcountry / beach boat and runs in very skinny water, floats in 6 inches. It will be sad to see her go, but should be lot's of fun for someone.
$1,200 obo

Reason: Sold motor, edited post to reflect hull only.
Sorry, in all the explanation, I forgot to list the price. I'm looking for $4700 obo
Thanks for the interest!
By the way, I bought the motor for a different boat and that never materialized so a deal came up on a last model year hull carolina and the weight worked well so we put it on. She did 35-40 before I bottom painted her and changed the prop. Now she's in the high 20's / low 30's, tons of torque, gave some top end up for it.....
Also, (absent minded) I have a trailer that is in decent condition that was custom adapted for the boat (easy loading by one person). It is probably not great for highway, but nothing a couple new tires can't fix (springs were replaced last year). I'd consider throwing that in with the right offer price.

I'm lost. A buddy of mine has that hull with a 40hp merc and it'll run right low 40s. It seems to me this this should run a little harder
I always thought it was running a little slow since we re-propped the boat, and I realized that a little late to return the prop. This along with some slight growth and such is why I think we were getting no more than high 20's on her. She probably never crossed 4200 rpm.
We tested the engine when I sold it last week and it had good compression and checked out well.
Anyways, the hull is now for sale by itself. Thanks for looking!
