I have exactly everyting you are looking for in a boat. It is a 2002 23' Key West with a 225 Yamaha fuel injected engine with low hours, full transom with large fish box, walk in console with head (over 6' 3'' clearance) 35 gallon round livewell with lights, no bottom paint, t-top with rocket launchers. You are welcome to sea trial her as the boat is in Harkers Island (close to Beaufort, NC) and I will deliver it to Richmond or Virginia Beach, VA. The boat is priced at $21,900 and is negotiable, well under your budget. All electronics and aluminum dual axle trailer are included and I am the original owner. Boat is in excellent condition. I will provide my mechanics name and number if needed. It has been babied and well maintained.
It is listed here on THT if you want to see pictures. Give me a call. 252-904-5619

It's nice man, but I'm looking for a 4-stroke. Otherwise that would be a done deal.

Take a look at a 2000 + 23 Hydrasport Lightning or Seahorse series. They have everything you are looking for and the newer ones will have 4 strokes and most likley still be in your budget!

Wow, great looking boats guys.... I hate to try to lowball someone, but I really was shooting for ending up under 20 all said and done. If I go say 25, I'm gonna be at 26,500+ after tax and all. I would have thought in this shitty market that it would be possible to get in under 20. I'm still looking. Closest thing right now is a 06 Polar 2100CC w/ yam 150 4-stroke, trailer, 170hrs for 19,995.. I'm still trying to see if that guy will come down or "help out" with the tax amount in some way. I sold our old boat for $5k, still have it, and the Wife will only agree to $5 more. My dad is splitting it with us and throwing in the additional $10k. So I'm "stuck" doing the best I can with 20. Thanks for all the info!!

You will be able to find something for that. I got a 2001 23' Whaler Outrage with an '06 F250 for around your asking price this past weekend, so there are deals out there. You should check Craigs List. They seem a little more "market savvy" than most of the sellers on THT.

Cool. I found the polar on craigslist... but the guy thinks that if he brings it to the local dealer they will sell it for him asap and get top dollar. That's what the guy at the dealer told him. So I don't know about him moving on the price and all. As far as sellers... we can all be fair!! I sold a boat last year so I went through the process. I had people low-ball the shit outta me, and I had to decide when it was time to sell. I got a fair price and wasn't unhappy, although, it wasn't my asking price. Every day you hold onto a boat the value goes down at least a fraction of a percent... unless it's some sought after model that's a collectors item or something. I made a HUGE mistake with my camaro... It was worth about $5500 when I decided to buy a boat/truck and basically stop driving it. Parked it in my driveway, decided to sell 3 years later, I barely got 3k and had to do a bunch of repairs like a fuel pump cause it sat so long. So I know whats up! Trust me. Some sellers are just unrealistic and they are the ones that are trying to sell their boats for over a year. I sold mine in 2 weeks flat.

How many times have I heard that...
Ask him if he wants his money now, or wants to wait and pay at least 5% in brokerage fees. I imagine that if he could get that much more from the delaer sale, he would...why is he on craigslist?

Yeah, obviously its unrealistic that the dealer is going to net him more money... It is a very very nice looking boat. I read a lot of the polar threads on these boards and man... between those postings, and not being able to transfer the hull warranty to the second owner, I think I'm going to skip it. Does anyone know if you can transfer a Sailfish warranty to second owner? I looked on their site and I can't seem to find any info on that.

No and it's only 10 yrs anyway. Get a good survey and at that point I would be less concerned about the hull then I would the engine. I only know of one reported hull issue with a SF and that was a newer boat where the owner found out about it very quickly.
