***2004 21' Contender w/ 200 Yamaha HPDI - Off The Market***
The way she’s built, the way she takes the sea and a million other reasons are why Contender is far and away the best sport fishing boat you can buy. No brokers/dealers please! I am off to grad school next year at Purdue, and as much as it breaks my heart to lose this boat, there is not much use for a Contender in West Lafayette, IN...as if I would have the time anyway! That being said, I cannot accept trades.
Price reduced to $32K. I've only got a few weeks left to make a sale, or I have to commit to putting the boat in storage on 21 June. I challenge you to find a comparable boat with comparable options at a better price. She also comes rigged with all my cleaning and servicing supplies, spare trailer parts and boat parts, boat hook, PDFs of all manuals including the HPDI service manual, nets, gaff, life jackets, flare kit, lines, and fire extinguisher! I'll even throw in a free cup holder...make it 2 free cup holders!
Honestly, I don't think it would remove too easily without some fiberglass work. I'm not sure why anyone would want to remove it, though. Along with the remote for the Lenco Troll 'N Trim motors, you've got a great fly fishing platform that you can use to "sneak up" on the fish without running your outboard or heading back to the helm. With the hatch built in the middle of the platform, you now have A LOT of extra storage space (I keep my fenders, lines, first aid kit, tackle, and flare kit in there). If you look close in the pictures, there are also snaps on the platform. I have a vinyl seating pad that covers the entire platform and secures with snaps for an entire bow seating area if you want to take the family out. The fish hold is still easily accessible from the aft hatch, and there is no loss of space there. I don't really see the downside of the platform... Granted, everyone has different tastes, I just think there are a lot of "extras" gained by having the platform. I can send pics with the seating pad installed if anyone is interested. Look closely at the pictures on my website:
One last ditch effort before I consider contacting a broker, or putting the boat in storage until I'm finished with grad school... All reasonable offers considered.
