Three of us have shared ownership of the boat and indoor dock at Sanibel Harbour Yacht Club jointly. See www.shycfl.com This marina provides full service, white glove concierge treatment and regular car-pump price on fuel. This deal includes 33% ownership of both the boat and the dockominium.
It's NOW AVAILABLE $550 (EDITED BECAUSE OWNERSHIP OF DOCK IS NO LONGER REQUIRED) per month to cover your third of the boat note, insurance, registration). As you can see there is no negative equity. Financially sound. So call 239.825.5185 for more details, or email me @ ksmith@servpro8663.com
Thanks!

Reason: REDUCED price, dock ownership no longer required.
Nice to have the boat cleaned fueled and ready to roll when you show up.
GL w/your sale.
exlimit:
Yes, it is very nice to have the full service. Having the boat here is what makes "sharing" a boat like this truly work. Each time we use it, the staff already has it in the water, cleaned and fueled. The fuel savings here covers our dues for the most part.
It's only $550 a month to enjoy all of this. This pays for boat, dock, dues, taxes, insurance...
Merry Christmas and tightlines!

I think I saw this boat fishing the causeway yesterday, sharp looking boat!
Gotta love fishing on Christmas Eve, no jacket required! Heading out a bit later today for Lunch in Ft Myers Beach with my girl. No fishing today, just a bit of cruising and sunning.
This arrangement is PERFECT for a part time (snowbird) type who wants a boat in their part-time Florida residence without absorbing all the expense. Gosh it works out great if your a full timer here too.
Sanibel, Captiva and Pine Island Sound is a world-class boating area, awesome water to explore.... Cabbage Key, Useppa, Boca Grande tarpon fishing, Captiva, Gasparilla etc...
Not to mention Naples and Marco Island. It's a paradise to fish or cruise.
BIG UPDATE:
Okay, I have discovered that the dry-dockiminium is in fact upside down (damn it stinks to find out that something has lost so much value)... Oh well, thats the way it goes in this tough economy. Naturally, I am not trying to bring someone into a bad deal, so the deal is now available without becoming involved as an owner in the dock.
Naturally, the dock @ Sanibel Harbor Yacht Club is still the boat's home, and the boat will remain there.
The partnership arrangement on the boat is still offered and is now available for only $550.00 per month which covers 1/3 of the boat payment, taxes, and insurance.
As someone that was once in a three way partnership on a boat I can tell you that this is a great deal! In my situation the boat was kept on the trailer at one of the partners house. This was the most difficult part because it was only really convenient for that partner, which wasn't me. Then we moved the boat to a dry stack marina. This was better but the service the marina provided was minimal.
The only issue we really had was that the boat was never clean for the next guy....unless I was the last one to use it. Needles to say I always had to clean the boat before I took it out. Other than that it worked out ok, mostly because for the most part we had different schedules.
To have the boat in a FULL SERVICE marina is what makes this deal so nice. They clean the boat, gas it up, get it ready for you, ect. The added bonus is having use of such a nice friggin boat for only 550 bucks a month!
My wife and I have future plans to buy a condo on the west coast. This would be an ideal alternative to trailering my boat across the state 1-2 times a month.
Good luck finding a partner, its a great opportunity for someone looking to get into a sweet boat for little out of pocket.
ScarabChris,
You are right.... the problems that can be had by sharing are all taken away by having it in a full service marina. They clean it, gas it, and store for the next guy to use. It's a great deal @ $550 per month.
I cant say enough good things about the Marina.... You just call up and tell them you are on your way... then Pull up- they valet your car, deliver your things to the boat, coolers full of ice, baitwell full of bait.
The service of the employees is amazing because they all understand that they work for this private club, and "we" are the members who employ them.
Everyone who has gone there with me is dually impressed, treatment is like a country club!
Ken, what is the schedule like? Is there any limit on usage? What happens if something breaks? What happens if you decide to sell? What happens if I pay $550 a month for the next 10 years...what do I have to show for it in the end...1/3 title??? Can the partner take it to the tortugas 2 times a month?
Awesome boat...I might know some people who would like an arrangement like this.

Hi Arctic, Thanks for your questions. Let's assume that the new guy is named "John".
The Schedule:
MONDAY-FRIDAY: Open to any of us to use on a first call/first served basis.
SAT and SUN. rotates like this:
Sat- Ken
Sun- Dan
Sat- John
Sun- Ken
Sat- Dan
Sun- John
And it repeats ad infintum. Ken, Dan, John.. Ken, Dan, John and so on...Naturally, we switch days with each other when somebody has plans, no problem. Weekdays are wide open.
As for your other question... it's not "my boat" it's "ours". So I can't just decide anything. It's a partnership so only "we can". When its time to sell the boat (beat depreciatrion etc... then we'll all decide what to do, what to buy next.
Lastly, what happens after you've been paying? Again, we are all 33% owners of it. So if there's positive equity, then we split it. And if there's negative equity, then we split it too.
Q. Can a partner take it to the Tortugas 2 times a month?
A. Only if you take me! LOL. Really no, the schedule wouldnt work out for one of us to take the boat out of town twice a month, every month. But, with that being said, we've got no problem taking down to the keys for a month or two in the summers for the partners to fish on....if that's what the 3 of us want to do.
As for the dock, my partner Dan and I own the 40 ft dry slip at Sanibel Harbor Yacht Club so thats where the boat will be housed.
