Could you post additional pics? Center console. Engine w/o cowling. What is the maintenance history? Did you often run the boat wot? How much time is left on the engine warranty?

i have a fair amount of pictures in my webshots, however nothing yet with the 4212. weather here is less than stellar now, it may be a little while before i can get some good new pictures.

engine was put into service as a demo in 07, where just a handful of hours were put on it. 3yr warranty is good thru november of next year, with option to extend another 3yrs i believe. the motor has been trouble free, and runs like a top. it had a recall done on the flywheel/cover, and got fresh oil and oil/fuel filters at ~50hr. yes, the boat has been run at wot, however majority of the hours are under 4k- i can certainly get a break down for you.

Those motors are made to be run at WOT if you desire. They wouldn't allow the motor to get to the WOT rpm range if it wasn't safe for the motor. In 70 hrs...I don't really think it is significant how much he has run wide open.

Awesome rig btw!

300xs optimax. night and day different boats, the v8 is an animal. when the new 24 gets ordered, it will have a v8 as well...

i appologize, i have edited the ad. there are 92 hours on the motor, not 70.

we swapped the original 10" jack plate for a 4" with the 350. waterline is about an inch lower on the transom. i ran a labbed 25p mirage with lots of cup with the 300xs. it slipped a lot, but itd run 67 consistently, 69.x fastest i ever saw. the boat ran very flat and never seemed to get good lift. im running a stock 25p yamaha, big diameter with thick heavy blades. holeshot is much stronger, and it bites much better. its a little underpropped now, as it will tach out and run 72+ loaded to the gills. the boat cruises flat like it always has, trim it down and the bow will eat. however when you start to trim it out, lift/acceleration is incredible.

i took this picture with my cell phone running in one day. i had burned 12gal off a full tank, water/shrimp in the livewell and 60# ice in another. it was me and a buddy. it bumped 74.3 with that load...

Nice! In the videos she looks like she is running perfect. It actually looks like she likes a heavy engine on the transom. Pretty boat!

prop- youre right, it does handle the weight well. the lighter engine boats are running as fast or faster with a full livewell...
