Default Cape Horn 24, twin 2009 F150's w/warranty $39,000 (NEW PICS!!!)

I can't believe I'm doing this . . .

I have an oppurtunity on another boat for my business that I just can't pass up, so I am selling my Cape Horn (my fun boat).

Hull is a 2000 model, engines are 2009 models with warranty until May 2012 (and can be extended until May 2015). Engines have approx 250 hrs and I will provide a computer readout from the yamaha dealer soon.

Full electronics package is BRAND NEW. Garmin 3210, GSD 22 black box sonar, GDL30A sat weather and xm radio, and GMR 18 HD RADAR. Sonar will read bottom over 300 feet at 36+ mph!

Boat has a 218 gal poly fuel tank.

Boat cruises EASY at 4200 rpm 36 mph and about 17 gph.

New twin RACOR setup, new gauges, controls, cables, bilge pump, washdown pump, lights, almost all new. I intended on keeping this boat 5 more years min.

All systems ready to go and in working order.

I killed the tuna on this boat last weekend . . . it is ready to fish RIGHT NOW.

Included is a tandem axle alum. trailer with brakes.

I live on a 200 acre lake and potential buyers will get a test drive no problem.

$39,000 and I'm not flexible on price.

I will put up some pics soon. I am fishing overnight in Venice tomorrow night 11/23/09 so I won't be back or answer questions until Tues night at the earliest.

PM me here if you want to come take a look.

I am 45 minutes north of New Orleans, LA.

All PM's answered.

I have been asked multiple times about trades. Unfortunately at this time I am not interested in trades. I already have another boat in mind.

This boat is a proven Venice, LA tuna killing machine.

Pics will be added tomorrow, I need some sleep.

Pics added.

This is a great boat. It rides great and is economical. No problem running long to the deep floaters for tuna like these.

*Note: yellowfin tuna are not included at this price.

Boat is still for sale. I have been asked this more than once so for anyone wondering what year the Cape Horn 24 hull changed it was not until at least 2006. This boat shines like a new one and has the right engines on it, with warranty. You won't have to put a dime into this boat for a LONG time (besides fuel, and maint).

Happy Holidays.

Default Insulated Storage

i just recently purchased the same boat (98 model) and i have a question if you don't mind taking a minute to answer. the only issue i have with this design is the lack of usable insulated storage. how do you fit large tuna in that rig? the hatches for 400qt ice box in the front are too small. i looked at adding a 320qt ssi between the front seat and the storage but its too skinny. other than cutting into the fiberglass i am looking for suggestions. i thought you would be a good source.

thanks in advance for any information

Well you must not have tried it yet . . . you can easily put over 500 lbs of tuna in the front box. I carry a large tuna bag (I think mine is like 40" by 80") as well for when I hit them hard. I have also seen some people make the two hatches that are there into one large hatch. I thought about doing that, but you just don't need it IMHO.

You can easily fit 600 ft of anchor line and the fish bag in the next forward locker.

You can also use that locker as a fish box, it is built and drains just like the main fish box.

Enjoy the boat.

Beanbags are the only way to ride on those long trips out and back. You can put them anywhere you want to get out of the spray and wind.Plus a bump for a nice ride and great price.

They beat me to it . . . BEAN BAGS. It's the only way to roll!

I have 3 E-Sea Rider Large Tear drops. Super comfy and then throw them on the T-top while your fishing.

Don't forget they're up there b/c they will fly off. If you realize it no worry they float!

If you want some specific pics let me know . . . I might be heading out of Venice friday so there may be fish blood in the pics.
