The time has come to sell my boat. It has provided me with several years of enjoyment but financially I cannot afford to continue on with her. This is a perfect boat for someone looking to restore a classic.
-1977 McKee Craft 17' center console. The hull is absolutely ROCK SOLID and in overall very good condition. There transom is solid with no cracks or indications of stress. There are no soft spots on any of the decks. I recently replaced the steering wheel and all cables on the boat.
-1991 Evinrude 140 (unknown hours) The motor has run flawless for years (see below). I replaced the lower unit last summer and have not had any issues with it since.
I've owned this boat for several years and have used her countless times on a monthly basis. Last week I noticed a slight, minor knock in the engine. My reliable and trustworthy mechanic looked at the motor today and advised that he thinks there is a crank bearing problem which is quite fixable. The motor still has over 120psi compression on all 4 cylinders but does have a slight knock. He stated it could be repaired fairly easily. I just don't have the cash on hand to do so. I'm in the process of purchasing a new home and need everything I can get right now. I really do not want to sell the boat but I cannot bear to watch her sit. I'm asking $3,000.00obo for the boat, motor, and trailer. The boat is located in Daytona Beach, Fl.
