rgowen,

I really like your ProKat 2650 and would love to have a boat with that much room and such a big cabin. But, at 27+ feet, it's probably a little too big for me at this point. Thanks and I'll keep you in mind if I feel like I can step up to that big of a boat.

OK guys..., I've identified a couple of possible replacement boats so my motivation to sell is increasing. This is a very versatile, well-equipped, nice-riding boat. Let's make a deal.

Slickster,

Like your TV 26 Weekender (especially the Suzuki 4-stroke motors ). However, again at 26', it's going to be a little bit too big for me. Thanks for your consideration though. Good luck.

I owned an 18' Nautico, 18' Seacat, 18' Leader and a 20' Prokat. Put lots of miles on each one in all kinds of seas. The 20' Prokat was the best of all the small cats I owned and has a lot more room inside. Sure the wiring isn't perfect but heck for less than $100 you could rewire the whole dang boat just like you want. Never had a single problem except for a bad bilge pump and it was replaced.

Sleepy,

Actually, it doesn't steer weird at all, it steers the same as most any mono-hull boat I've been on. The only thing that is different is that a catamaran turns differently than a mono-hull. Most catamarans turn flat (like a car), whereas most mono-hulls lean into the turn. That's about the only difference in "steering" that I know of. WOT on this boat is about 33 to 35 mph. You might could squeeze a little more out of it, depending on how it is propped. Currently, I am running a four-blade propeller, which gives good grip and mid-range performance, but probably gives up a little on the top end. Thanks.

Boatmedic:

Your project is looking great. I think you'll have a winner. I believe that Prosports bought some of the Seagull/Nautico molds for their 20' ProKat (like mine). It's definately a nicely laid-out, well-mannered hull. Good luck!

OK, time to move on. This is a great boat for flats, bay or offshore fishing. Reliable, quiet and effecient Suzuki 4-stroke power and nice options and equipment make this a great deal for anyone looking for a versatile fishing and cruising machine.
