Thanks RG

So its a balmy 31 degrees out today and sunny. So I pull the Albemarle out of the shop in anticipation of the riots out front of my house trying to buy my boat (kind of like a WHO general admisssion concert).

I fire everything up, make sure all electrical stuff works, and one of the VHF radios is stuck on transmit, so I yank it out and put a new one in this morning..

Nothing special, its only a VHF radio.

Getting ready for the blowout boat show But the wife won't put her bikini on to help me sell What's up with that, she's just not a team player..

Its a nice sunny day! Anybody got anything they want me to take pictures of???

What is the ideal cruise speed and fuel useage-ie) gallons per mile? Any idea of the weight, wonder if you need a 3/4 ton truck to tow.

Our Ideal cruise speed was 22 to 23kts.. The fuel burn at that rate depended alot on the load. With FULL FUEL, 4 grown men, all our gear, coolers, beer soda. etc... we were getting 1 MPG...in a small chop.

If we dropped fuel, took everyone off the boat and got rid of all the equipment, we did at least 50% better, sometimes more. I did some numbers one day by myself with hardly no fuel and no gear on dead flat water and I got 2 mpg.. But..Havent been able to duplicate that with any load in the boat.

The boat is listed at 7500#'s, but with all our stuff in it I'd figure 9000 lbs. I towed for 2 years with a 3/4 ton truck. It's Heavy..

No, never been on my wish list. Although I looked into it and they get high praise. The rocking never bothered us. The only mods I planned if I was keeping was a/c and reupolster the berth cushions.

mike, i seem to get between 1.4 and 1.5 nmpg regardless of load, sea conditions, or fuel level. on a trolling trip my average for running and trolling is right at 1 nmpg although my boat is a center console. i do have a floscan and keep a pretty close eye on fuel numbers. good luck with selling her, great fishing layout and an incredible ride!
