1987 McKee Craft 22 Hammerhead-Complete refit! - The Hull Truth

This is my 1987 Mckee Craft 22 Hammerhead. For those of you not familiar with this model, it is quite unique. You will not find a 22 footer with more fishing room or as much freeboard. I spent the last 8 months completely refurbishing this boat. Literally the only thing original is the fiberglass. Every nut, bolt, wire etc. is new.

LOA: 24'
Beam: 8'

Fuel: 128 gallons in brand new aluminum tank.
Power: 2006 Suzuki DF250 Four stroke (warranty until 2012) 60 hrs
Speed: Cruise 35 mph, max 47 mph

Electronics: Lowrance LCX 27c HD GPS sounder combo, interfaced via NMEA 2000 to Suzuki engine interface, fuel level sender. Interfaced with ICOM M402 VHF via NMEA 0183.

Stereo: Jensen Waterproof head unit with ipod control with 6.5" Clarion speakers and a 10" Clarion Sub with 300w amp. (it rocks!!)

The electronics are installed in a custom hydraulically actuated electronics box (silent and smooth).

Hull was painted with Awlcraft 2000 Fighting Lady Yellow, interior is Awlgrip Matterhorn White.

Overall the boat has tons of storage and rides nicely.

As with all boats there are trade offs. If you are in the market for a Contender or a Regulator with a seriously deep vee hull, this is not the boat for you. This boat has a moderate vee that is a good compromise between stability and ride. The benefit is better fuel economy and more speed. $16,900. I will also consider any trades. I will also sell the hull and trailer without the Zuke for $10,000

Oh, I forgot, it also comes with a 1995 EZ Loader Tandem Aluminum trailer with 1 axle brakes, and brand new tires.
