Re: ***REDUCED to $20K Wellcraft Scarab Sport 302 twin 225HP Evinrudes
Thanks Dave- the T-Top was the prototype for a guy that is patenting a fold down T-Top. It has hydraulic cylinders that assist to
raise and lower it. When it's up it's held in place by 4- 1" nylon pins that slide into place. You can put it up and down in like
10 seconds with almost no effort.
The engines are Evinrude 225's, the original engines that came on the boat when it was built by Wellcraft. Send me your e-mail address
and I can send you some additional photos if you want.
The trailer was made for the boat so it fits the boat perfectly. I have at times pulled it at over 80MPH with no control problems what
so ever. How far would I be willing to drive it? I hadn't thought about it, what did you have in mind?

Additional information:
-Fish graph, color mapping GPS, and 1 VHF radio are all less than 3 years old.
-Both antenna's are new, the starboard antenna is connected to one of the VHF radios, and to the AM/FM/CD player.
these are attached to a VHF/AM/FM splitter from Shakespeare
-The AM/FM/CD player is brand new and not installed. I installed the unit this summer but the CD player didn't work so it was
replaced under warranty but I don't have the new one installed yet. The player also has a wired remote mounted in the side of
the console. It has about a 20' cord so you can change radio stations or adjust the volume from anywhere on the boat.
The only things that are wrong with the boat that I am aware of:
-The full mooring cover still works to cover the boat but it's getting pretty ratty looking.
-The bench seat that goes in the back of the boat has a split in the vinyl, I don't usually keep the seat in the boat during the season.
-The bottom cleaner I used on the hull really ate up the bunk carpet so this will need to be replaced when the boat is off of the trailer.

I'm in the market for an offshore boat.....most tend to be non-local...and buying a boat sight unseen
is a tough call. You have a lot of boat for the money as far as I can tell....and delivery possibilities have to be considered.......even to the point of having enough truck to to tow. It's one thing to haul a boat 2 miles to the local ramp.....another story entirely if you have to go cross country. Thanks for the reply.....and BTT..
Re: ***REDUCED to $20K Wellcraft Scarab Sport 302 twin 225HP Evinrudes
I'm asking like 1/2 of what the BUC book value is, the boat is almost spotless as evidenced by the pictures. It's a mystery to me why
I haven't sold it yet.
I understand buying something without looking at it first, I would be concerned about that too. I sold my Mako to a guy in Arizona
and he hired a guy from a local marina to come look at the boat and take additional pictures. He only paid the guy $100 and the guy
crawled all over the boat. He e-mailed me a couple of months after he got the boat to tell me how happy he was he bought it. My
Scarab is in BETTER condition than my Mako was. I'm a very picky person and I can't stand things that don't look good and/or don't
work so I fix or replace anything immediately.

Hey Russ I hope you don't mind me picking your brain, even thou I am not a potential buyer, I own a 94 and have a question on your cabin door, is that original for the year or did you update it? it looks like a sliding door, mine has two pieces of shaded plexi that you slide in from the top... I hate it I have to put it in and take it out for every girl on my boat when they need to use the head!! if you did update it I would love a little detail, this project is next on my list of what I need to do
very sharp looking color scheme by the way... I have never scene that one before

Everything in the boat is original. I seen the door like you have and I have to tell you that I really like the sliding door better. The original
gelcoat was red on the boat, I had it painted black this past summer. I liked the red but the gelcoat had gotten so badly oxidized that
I couldn't get it back good enough to make me happy. The black looks even better than the red did.
