Want to buy a Parker 2520xl - The Hull Truth

I am looking to buy a Parker 2520xl or 2520xld around the end of February. My limit is $50,000. I have cash and do not need financing. Obviously, I would like to get as nice a boat as I can for this amount. I am interested in boats that meet the following criteria:

Year 2004 and later (Prefer to have some warranty left on engine(s)
Model 2520xl or xld
Armstrong Bracket (no notched transom)
Yamaha F250 or Twin F150's
Aluminum Trailer (If boat is 2005 or earlier)
Located in Florida or Eastern United States

Parkers are sweet. Tons of them in So. Cal. Great boats. I don't like pilothouses but to each his own. Good luck.

Thanks. I have been caught in nasty weather a few too many times. Used to dive off a Parker pilothouse so I know the pros' and cons'. I have already posted same on classic parker. Thanks for the PM Parrott.

I own a boat similar to your description, that I would entertain offers on. (The boat is not
or has ever been on the market) The boat is trailer kept on the upper Chesapeake Bay and
has seen very little salt water use. Boat description as follows:

2004 2520XL with 2003 F225 Yamaha (4-stroke) on Armstrong bracket with kicker mount.

-2nd station (free standing)
-wash down
-rocket launcher with spreader light
-sun shade (bimini)
-2 windshield wipers (Port wiper is optional)
-ladder (on armstrong platform bracket)
-9 months left on ext. warranty
-under 350 very quiet & dependable hours
-boat was mainly used in freshwater for cruising the Sassafras River (boat was never fished)
-trailer not included

Sorry for not responding to your first message. I will be using the boat for some commercial work that requires adding some weight to the boat. I prefer twin engines, but at least a 250 HP for a single. I know there is not a whole lot of difference between a 225 and a 250HP but a Yamaha mechanic that I spoke to advised to stick with twins or a 250 for my use of the boat. Thank you for responding.

I am going to post shortly a 2005 2520 Parker with a Yamaha 250 hp 4-stroke for $49,900. I have a 2008 Load Rite tandem axle trailer available as an option for $2500 with boat purchase.
