This is truly and turn key boat for fishing and water sports
To tell the truth I don't know. I've been told its much better. I mainly run the boat on the Chesapeake Bay (Upper part) Their is normally a 1-2 foot chop. The boat handles it very well and I never feel like I'm being pounded. You might find a better answer over on......... http://continuouswave.com/cgi-bin/Ul...i?action=intro

that model does ride better than the older ones as my friend has the exact boat . I have a 93 hull w/an e-tech 90hp so I know the difference . Ive owned a few whalers and the older ones will kill ya unless you still in your 20s. my 93 dosnt ride as bad as the older ones but not as good as the 05 . Im not saying there great riding boats just not as bad as the older ones but there great boats once you learn how to run one
When I was in the market for a small center console the Montauk was high on my list, until I rode one -- that was back in 1999 and the boat was an early 90s vintage. With the improved ride of the new hull this boat should be at the top of the list for anyone in the small center console market. I will probably add to the fleet in the next year or so, but it will most likely be in the form of a , this is hard to say, pontoon boat.
