More questions asked
#1-Why is the inside grey? Other duskys i have seen are white gelcoat instead of grey. Was it repainted to cover any repairs?
Answer-This boat was ordered and came grey from dusky. No repairs made inside. I did touch 2 places up by the scuppers with grey paint but that is it.

#2-Why were all the hatches replaced? Because im not trying to start anything but rabuds hatches that dusky uses/used suck. Unless you change them out with better hatches you better order a bunch of spare parts to keep them going.

Thanks for all the inquires guys and gals. Keep them coming.

Doug
#1 Dusky offers the choice of gray or white interior. Gray is less reflective and shows dirt less. My wife liked the white. Guess which I have on mine?

#2 I concur, Dusky's Rabud hatches are not the most robust. The handles are the weak spot. A $3 item. I keep a few on hand for spares. It's good these have been upgraded; certainly cures any concern.

You have a very nice Dusky, and I'm pretty sure that's a 233 unless something was different in 1994. Anyway, the current equivalent model is the 233. Good luck with your sale, somebody will be getting a nice boat for a fair price.

It probably is my brain is fried from all the numbers here lately. If you decide to ever replace your hatches, Innovative Marine makes the ones I have and they are nearly and direct fit. Here they are at overtons http://www.overtons.com/modperl/prod...ID=1008&r=view

Here are some numbers from last nights boondoggle. We ran 35 miles and burned 15 gallons. No trolling all running with 4 people and full load of ice and gear. Enjoy

You clearly take a lot of pride in your boat - it looks absolutely mint.

I own a Dusky 233 Open, which I purchased used in 2006 after 3 months of researching boats on THT. When I bought the boat, seaworthiness and quality of construction were my primary considerations. Having now owned it for 3 years, I appreciate other aspects such as the high gunwales and closed transom which makes it a very family friendly fishing boat.

Good luck with your sale!

Thanks again everyone, the new Lowrance unit will be here this week. If anyone is interested in the boat minus the GPS system i can knock a bit of the price off. Boat also comes with all the running gear, lines, anchor, lifejackets, all safety gear, and spare trailer tire and wheel (new).

I would go 21,000 if I can keep just my GPS head unit. Will leave all the wiring, antennas, and transducers on the boat.

Does it have aluminum tanks? Does it have a livewell? I'm pretty interested.

NO, YES, and Give me a buzz.

THe boats main tank is Plastic. The 2nd tank in the seat of the center console im unsure of what it is made out of. Dusky informed another person looking at the boat that called them, the foward tank is fiberglass, but it was a certain design or type of fiberglass or something that wouldnt be affected by ethanol fuels.

How is the four stroke weight on that transome. are the scuppers under water at rest. Are they under water at rest with the livewell full? I have seen your boat a couple times on the trailer in teh eliz. city area, just wondering about those items. is the livewell in deck or is there one built into the leaning post? thanks

With the boat full and the livewell empty no water in the boat and scuppers above the water. When the livewell is full and 2 or more bigger adults go directly to the back you get a little bit just around the scuppers on the inside only if you are achored or sitting still. If you are trolling you dont have to worry about it. The livewell is in the rear deck. Drop me a pm if you want to come look at anything on there weather you are interested in the boat or not you can always come take a look.
