I am not really sure what the original motors were, since I purchased the boat used from a boat broker in SC. More than likely it had two 150 two stokes on the back, but that is a assumption on my part.

Oh no thor don't take this as a dump on Contender. I have owned several boats and by far the Contender is the best FISHING layout I have ever been on.
My wife say's I am crazy. Every couple of years I sell the boat I just took so long getting set up for me, and buy anouther to start all over on. But hey it's cheaper than trading wives.

Beautiful boat Thor !! I own a 2001 with twin 150 HPDIs and can honestly say that I LOVE the boat , regularly fishing 80 miles offshore.
SeaDaniels , this is a great engine combo for this hull , and will plane almost instantly with no use of the tabs.
This is one of the best deals going on what is one of the best 23 foot boats made.
