Yamaha does not class motors by year...My bill of sale says 2003 and Original owner installed them in 2003 to cruise/fish the bahamas and wanted something more reliable/fuel efficient...
Yamaha website has performance test for this exact hull/motor combo...@ 3/4 tank of fuel, I cruise 30 MPH @ 2 MPG.
RE: 98 Pursuit 2870 Offshore center Console F225's $53.5K
I believe Yamaha does include a placard that dates exactly when the engine was produced. It is usually close to the mount where the engine attaches to the bracket/transom. I've always considered that the year...any thoughts if that is correct or not? Sweet boat by the way.

I am struggling with the A/C. Where is this located in the cabin? Does back into the under deck area (the area under the console where the inboards would be if it were an inboard).
Very sweet boat. What do you tow her with?

Yes, the AC is located in the back cabin wall...There was originally a hatch there...The AC works great, keeps the cabin cold and is very efficient...No pumps/thru hulls, etc...It exhausts into the storage compartment under the forward seating area...I lift up the hatch at the helm area about an inch and the hot air just vents out...
I pull the boat with a 2006 GMC dually diesel...It pulls 10,000# like its a small jet ski!

Thanks for the compliments...
The hours are about 530...We're using it this weekend so there may be a few more by Sunday!
I'm selling because I really don't use the boat enough...but I do not "have" to so I'm just trying to be reasonable on the price, but don't intend to give it away...
Here is a link to the Yamaha performance test for the exact boat/motor combo...
I run the AC when on shore power, though it is quite simple to set up an inverter of small Honda EU2000i generator...The AC does not use much power ( less than a seawater rig...)
