Default 25 black fin center console

i had this rig sold...that's right...took a big deposit and now the buyer has changed his mind after screwing around for 2 months, nice huh ??? here's the deal...it's gotta go...the guy had a surveyor check the boat out for him too-report available...
it's got a 250hp cummins in it,it's got 600hrs+ on the engine/gear...boat's gonna need a little "tlc"...bottm has been blasted to remove the bottom paint-huge build up...i removed the thru hulls and glassed the holes over...i recored the aft cockpit deck section...
i split the guy's deposit with him...boat was sold for $12,000,less my half of the deposit,$9,000...that's the price $9,000 whatta deal huh ??
now, gimme a call if you want more info, the reason being,if you type a reply here,it may take a while to reply back, also,if you have another question, the same thing starts again...get it ?? it's easier to call me,that way you get all the information you need in one shot-makes sense huh ???
the boat is located in cape may court house nj,it's on one of my service trailers...trailer is not-repeat not, included in the sale...

Please provide pic's of the engines/compartment and forward cuddy area. Any soft spots on the deck or elsewhere that need immediate attention?

The prices for boats are ridiculously, insanely, Santa Claus shoves it free in a stocking low. I look at a boat like this and I look at my savings investment portfolio and I think; "What the hell is wrong with you? Buy the boat!"

Many of us could buy this boat, and about fifty other sweet deals here, buying out of savings. But we have to run the thing from 'budget'. I don't figure the financial asset liquidity, available funds, of 'savings' into 'budget'.

This fine machine would need a slip or at the very least, off property storage. And gallons and gallons and gallons of fuel. If she punked out, I would have to pay a mechanic for a dock visit. What does an intercooler cost again? Sitting in the elements, daily maintenance would beat an anal retentive guy like me up with battleship chains in wax, oils, polish, soap, canvas. You don't 'spin' in this boat. You run her. You load her for bear and you head out to sea looking for fish like Gengis Kahn looking for Tanguts.

I have a 17' outboard in my garage. When my 'fun' column of the budget is flush I wheel her out. When the 'fun' column is raped by a broken lawn tractor, she stays put and costs me nothing.

When you start your own business, and you figure it's going to cost you 50K in start-up, you don't save the 50 and say; "OK let's do it". You gotta figure at least five years living money at your present lifestyle while earning nothing with the start up until she gets underway. You add that to the 50 and then say;"OK let's do it".

I'm saving for a boat like this. Shoot, I passed the 9k mark years ago. I'm just about there. Someone already is, this boat will/has sold itself already. The current economy is just keeping your last customer from the closing is all. He probably saw this boat, got caught up in the day dream I have here everyday on this forum and talked himself into something he ultimately realized he wasn't ready for and then backed out. He crunched the numbers on the wrong side of the phone call to you.

Every Monday I think; this is the week she'll turn around. The economy. I've been saying that longer than I've been saving for this boat.

Good luck. I love this darn boat! Hell we all do.

After about a one and a half minute phone conversation friday of this guy explaining to me that people (myself included) are complete idiots, he hung up on me. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and called again today. I have never in my life met or talked to someone so arrogant and pompous. Of coarse he hung up on me again and told me not to call back. I've looked at quite a few 25 black fins and this does seem like a great deal, but be prepared to deal with someone much more intelligent than you. The boating market is bad right now, but it doesn't get any better when you run off people with a means and true desire to buy what you're selling. I am sorry if this post is out of the way, but I'm just in awe that anybody could treat another person this way.

Why would you post an ad if you didn't want people to ask questions? I emailed this guy when the boat came up for sale the first time and got the same type of response. A lot of people have written saying good things about this guy but it has to make you wonder...

On the other hand, there are a lot of people out there just looking and it could get annoying just answering the same questions over and over again. Me personally, I love talking boats.

Sure seems like a sweet ride - somebody pony up and just give the guy some cash and take her fishin'!

Luhrs28,
He did the same to me, except I chose to end the conversation. . . . After presenting the question of a trade he blew up.... I never said I didn't have the cash either. Me being hours away, I just wanted more info before driving that far to investigate in person. . . Oh well.

... and yea, I've been admiring this boat daily for months.

guys, this boat has been on the market forever. who knows how long he has been running people off. i spoke to him about this boat years ago. the first (and only) question he asked me was " what do you know about and want a 25 blackfin for?". he hung up on me when i was shocked why a seller would ask that and i didnt answer to his satisfaction. if there is a bigger a**hole in the world i dont know who it is

yeah... complete douche bag. He's not in boat sales... he's a mechanic. Perhaps hire a broker then to sell it? I didn't want to post my experience, but apparently I'm not the only idiot.

I have the same opinion as the rest of you, I didn't want to post my experience either figuring maybe I caught him on a bad day and gave him the benefit of doubt. Obviosly thats not the case. My conversation strated out with me asking him what it would take to get it on the water and his response to me was "you sound like your very inexperienced." As you can guess it went downhill from there, although he didn't hang up on me. He was partially true though, i'm inexperienced at restoring boats myself but i'm not an inexperienced boater. What I didn't tell him is money really wasn't an issue and I have enough friends in the industry that whatever I couldn't handle they could.
