REVISED: Reduced again to 28K or best reasonable offer. Fished the stream off charleston yesterday 7/19/09 released 3 sails, lost a marlin, 5 dolphin, and only burned 84 gallons of diesel. fished again last week releasing several sails. the boat runs perfectly good.

selling the boat b/c one partner needs out. Need a clean split.

Very efficient - all day offshore trip - run 45 miles then troll 8 hours and run home burns about +/- 80 gallons. 22-23 knot cruise at 3200. Proven fish raiser. Also great cruiser.

Thanks. We've done a lot of work on the bertram. Hoping to keep it for a while but things change. Not sure about the spot....im sure its just water from rinsing off the reels and stowing them.

I may have missed it, but what is thefuel capacity? Also, what is your understanding or experience with the difference in sea keeping capabilities between the 28' Moppie and the 21' Bertram?

165 gallon fiberglass fuel tank.
never been on a 21 bertram.
The 28 bertram is a nice riding hull. Maybe that's why so many people choose to repower them. For 28's my understanding is the flybridge and Moppie may act slightly different b/c the FB is more top heavy.
Dry weight 11,500. Deadrise 24. Ours is Solid in a head sea and tracks straight as an arrow going downhill

not real sure about the 31. I believe the beam is similar and the dry weight similar as well b/w the 31 and 28 even though there is an approximate 3' LOA difference. I don't have much experience comparing the two. I do know the 28' moppie is a nice, stable, heavy riding hull. We've put a lot of work on this boat and I hate to sell her but out situation has changed since buying it. Thanks,

Just my .02 after owning several 28s and 31s. The 28 rides every bit as soft as a 31, maybe even better. The biggest difference between the two is that the 28 is an impressively dry boat while the 31 will soak you. The 28 is a real winner.
