Default Lets Trade - Nothing's Selling! 2000 Edgewater 205 CC Fighting Lady Yellow

Nothing is selling so I'm willing to try a different idea. I'm looking to move up a bit, and if I can't sell it... then I'm certainly open to a trade. I have a Model 2000 Edgewater 205 CC w/ 00' 225 SSII OX66. The boat is closer to 21'8" and has many adds. I would venture to say there is not another Edgewater like it in the Southeast. Fighting lady yellow hull, no bow rails from the factory, Custom T-Top (Overbuilt), New Outriggers, New GPS, New CD, new thermostats, new fuel pumps and new water pump with annual maint. in March. Tricked out and meticulously maintained. this boat fishes and rides great.

Features -
2000 20' Edgewater - Fighting Lady Yellow Hull
00" Yamaha 225 hp SSII OX66 - very clean and meticulously maintained - all regular maint. records
New Custom T-Top w/ Black Canvas (Built by Boykin Marine- Similar to Bluepoint design on new EW - Overbuilt)
New Cushions all around - Custom
Taco Grand Slam Outrigger mounts-Fully Adjustable w/ 15' telescoping poles - Black w/ Gold
Garmin 498 installed in March 08' - T-Top mounted SS Antena
Uniden VHF Radio - Blk Shakespear Antenna mounted on T-Top w/ SS Heavy Ratchet - Poly Planer external speaker
Kenwood AM/FM CD Waterproof unit Sirius capable - Infinity Marine Speakers
Leaning Post w/ custom backrest (Boykin built in 07')
3 spoke aluminum ss helm wheel w/ knob
Fresh water Washdown - 6 gallons I think?
Salt Water Washdown
Livewell in Front Console Seat
5 rod holders on T-Top(Gold) Two in Gunwale, and 4 in Leaning Post
Two Batteries w/ Switch

Specs -
Cruise @ 30mph @ 3700
WOT To 51mph @ 5500 w/ 1 man fishing gear and 1/4 tank (18 gallons) She'll get thirsty... but boy will she go!
@ 3500 rpm - 28 mph
@ 3300 rpm - 25 mph

approx 3mpg @ 3800 to 4000 makes her relatively fuel efficient, with a good range.

Click on the Snapfish Link for Hi Res Pics, your seeing her as we use her, she is kept in dry storage w/ occasional overnights at the dock.
$24,000

Engine hours approximate at 380. I don't have an hour meter, but I bought the boat from origional owner, and it shows when you pull the cowl off. Thanks for your reply, and the compliment...
Jim

You could start by putting your pics on a site that you don't have to register for. Looking around on the boattrader your price seems a little high.

I suspect some interested buyers want only 4 stroke or newer efficient 2 stroke technology. those OX66's are reliable, but not a fuel efficient as newer motors.

Thank for your input gentlemen. I knew the engine would be an issue to some extent, especially in todays economy. I will say that the Yamaha is beneficial for one good reason over lets say a Johnson Ocean Pro or other OMC product. That is that in a trolling scenario, to my knowledge the engine drops to two cylinders at 1900 rpm and lower, yeilding you some fuel savings. I will also look at getting the pics on a more user friendly site, any suggestions?
Thanks again

Nah i dontbuy that!! This is a used boat which means you get a used motor. EFI two strokes werethe norm back then and what is to be expected on that year hull. That is a great motor as i owned one and would be my first choice if i wasin the marketfor an 8 year old boat. Nice boat. Good luck!!

Here is a bump for a fellow edgewater owner. It is not your boat and most likely not the price why you are not getting a sale. Your problem is the economy, it stinks and not getting better for the average joe. Buyers these days are looking for a deal and if you won't it to sell quick I would supect you are going to have to give it away.

Good luck with the sale. Post some pics on this thread; that may help and i would love to see all the accesories.

Does this model have a head in the console? How about bottom paint, any?

No porta potty in console, and yes it does have Interlux Micron Extra (Black) on the hull and outdrive paint on the engine lower unit.

Hey Jim,

You should post the pics over here for all to see. Snapfish requires folks to sign up to see your album. Just resize them to 640X480 and post them here it should help. The boat is a beauty!
