Yeah, I strangely enough there are three others just in my marina, but I dont seen them anywhere else. I posted on here for some East Coast/Great Lakes exposure where they seem to be more popular.
The height on trailer is 15' 5" I think. The previous owner did trailer it occasionally for service work, so it can be trailered. The top does not currently fold, but I have been tinkering with the idea of having the work done to make it so.
Do you have any performance numbers? My thoughts are it could have a big block 7.4 for the size and weight. Just wondering if you wish you had more power in rough conditions. Cruise speed at what r.p.m. and wide open speed at what r.p.m.? Fuel consumption at both? Thanks, Johnny
The 7.4 comes standard in the 272 model, and I am glad. I am told it is a thirsty mother. I havent ever been in a situation where I thought more power was needed. Especially not in heavier weather. That is where this boat excels. Staying dry under the hardtop and crashing through waves is almost more fun than the nice days.
Cruise is about 3200-3600 rpms at about 20 mph I think. Top speed is somewhere around 32 mph at 5400 rpm. I will be honest though I dont really see the top speed very often, and I usually cruise slower than 20. I always seem to encounter bad weather.
On our average trip of cruising out 30-40 miles, trolling 4-6hrs at 7-9 mph, and then back in, fuel burn is 1.5-1.7 mpg.
